They take it seriously out there. Hell some of their stadiums rival college stadiums
In NC Wake , Mecklenburg, Forsyth, Guilford, Durham head coaches make between $55-70K depending on years. And they all teach
About $110,000. Bonus money and coaches get paid their stipend each week they coach in the playoffs. Does not teach. He is the AD. Has an assistant AD that has half the day for AD responsibilities plus a full time secretary for the athletic department.
I wonder what the assistant coaches are making at some of these schools in Texas and other places? The ability to pay good assistants a decent stipend/salary are probably where you see the biggest disparities.
A lot of your high school teams out there have indoor practice facilities. NC can't compare in any way.
