In P5 conferences, a team coming off a bye week and playing at Home wins 83% of the time.

Advantage WVU.

You want a cookie or something? I got that stat from Texas media. Perhaps you should call a pressure and flame your boys.

Any team that can stop OU from running the ball has a chance because their downfield passing game isn't totally there yet.

But OU probably has the most advanced running game in the P5. Much better than Georgia and Wisconsin because of the QB run and the different angles they can run from.
Hard to shoot more than one or two gaps.

I think WVU is going to give OU a game because of your DLine and because Austin Kendall has a great idea of what they want to do.
I am 100% sure Vic Koenning has already or will debrief Kendall
Plus they better hope they changed their signals.

We may give them a game for a half. But they will eventually wear us down because Kendall can't sustain drives. Even if you don't score you need to keep the ball longer than 1 minute.

OU's run defense is porous.
That fat Canadian in the middle would be third string on both Texas and West Virginia.

Unlike most Big 12 teams their LBs are much better than their DL but LBs get caught up in the wash and can be manipulated.

I do think WVU needs to run more power against a team like OU instead of their perimeter runs.

Plus their third down pass defense had issues.
I watched the first half of their game against Kansas.
KU controlled the clock and moved the ball well even with a below average QB.

OU scores multiple TD's on plays of 20+ yards.
UT is shut down until garbage time when they make it look better than it was.

WVU doesn't have the o-line to do it this year TVZ. They're maybe 6-7 deep on a good day and most of them are young. Leddie Brown is the only real power back on the squad. If they try it, he might be in traction by November.

There's not much you can do with a young football team but let it get experience and get older. WVU's 1990 team was like this one. A senior former HS All-American QB in Greg Jones who transferred in from Miami with a cannon for an arm, a pack of young WR's who couldn't catch a cold, and half an o-line. Adrian Murrell who went on to nice NFL career as a RB supposedly refused to run to one side of the line because it was so bad. Man, he was a big, fast, fluid runner.

I like Brown.
Watch his feet. His balance is there and can turn 5-7 yard runs to 20+ yard runs.

OUs run defense has been somewhat suspect.
Both the perimeter and power but I think with their LBs you want to run right at them.

One of the differences in the Texas game was Sam Cosmi and Parker Braun.
The left side of the OL are two future NFL players.

So I agree you OL isn't where it should be but I do think there are some things that they can do.
I think both McKivitz and Wickline should be mobile enough to pull them.
I do like your TEs. Both can be used in run blocking IMO.

For all their supposed talent....the Texass Saghorns look like a train wreck waiting to happen. Great hype....poor performance.

So Murrell ran all 7 of his total carries in 1990 (for 40 some yards) all on one side.

Cool story.

Brown has a nice burst when he gets in the open. I like him a lot.

I told a guy I sit with, "We've got donut line" after the first two games. He asked me what I meant and I said "No center." They did some shuffling and got that fixed.

O-line is so tough to fix, young guys need a couple of years to mature and gel as unit before they're ready for extended action. You can go the J.C. route, but you're still going to have redshirt them until they learn your schemes. That's one place you're looking for large intelligent guys. The other positions on both sides of the you can point them the right direction and say, "Go that way".

Murrell was the master of the cut back and was blazing fast. He wasn't going to risk his future on humping it up the inside behind a bunch of nobodies that couldn't block a buffet line.

BTW, how are things in the Crackton Flats of Charleston? You're not that drunk who rolled his car on Corridor G and killed my boy Bick, are you?
