Do you think the new Texas coach has any idea of the atmosphere and magnitude of the Red River Rivalry? He's totally new to this area of the country.

Sark's gonna get if not already a heavy dose of the woke culture in UT. Who knows? I see a revolving door of coaches in Austin. Similar to aggy, all the money in the world..............

...This is the Voice of Experience...At the height of the Oil Boom, in Western Oklahoma, we had a HUGE stock of Boots in our stores...Everything from the Tony and Justin Ropers, to the Exotics...Eel, Snake, Lots of Lizards, Ostrich, and even Crocodile, in Black!! Additionally, our Bread 'n' Butter, Go-To Boots were the Red Wing Steel Toed Driller/Roughneck Boots. We couldn't keep those in stock...Even as good as they were, and what all of our customers asked for, they wore out fairly fast, due to the beating they took on the rigs. Guys would buy several pair at once, just to insure they had back-ups. When the Boom turned into a Bust, and the drilling stopped, along with the Big Spenders, we had no appetite for eating our leftovers! What a Great Ride it Was, though, until it Wasn't...Speaking of rides, Ma did you make yours to the party for the Selmons ? I had eyes out for you and am hoping for some pictures when available of the festivities

Yep, there are many OU-Texas type games. Theyāre all good for college football even Harvard - Yale. But not as good Oklahoma- Texas. Boomer!

In the sec perhaps. The RRR is traditionally a more Nationally prominent game by far
And the SEC Championship game, and the Playoff Semi-Finals, and National Championship game. So, I think it's fair to say he's coached in a few big games.
So has Lane Kiffin.
Maybe the most intense obviously, them folks down there will poison yer trees.
Just about every conference has a game that their fans feel is the best rivalry in college football, and they are for those fans. OU - Texas is special for sure but OU - Nebraska was always my favorite because it usually decided the conference championship. Now OU- Texas is THE GAME.
Nebraskaās program began to fade a couple of years after the end of the Big 8. Come to think of it OU petered out even sooner. But OU recovered and Nebraska just continued to falter. They just couldnāt deal with Texas politics. Now theyāre in the tank as a member of the Big 10. I still think that was a bad move for Nebraska. But ending the annual OU Nebraska game during the Big 12 years spoiled the series anyway.
