Last game, minus IQ, we were 1-9 in 3 point shooting.
I'm still not comfortable in our long range game.

But, and I'm looking up at the basketball gods while saying this, we are long overdue for a blowout victory.

There are 353 teams in D-1.

They are 350th in 3-point percentage
They are 336th in total field goal percentage
They are 336th in points scored
They are 240th in total rebounding

Kentucky should destroy this team.

This means A&M is now certain to:

Make 10 3s
Shoot 60 percent in the first half
Drop a minimum of 75 points
Stay even with UK on the boards

Going to be playing golf in College Station in the morning before going to the game.

Should be a great day.

Another grind it out game. Cal actually loves these types of games as he's said every game in the tournament is a grind it out game. This is my biggest criticism of Cal. They're grind it out games because we allow the other team to set the tempo. Those teams want to limit possessions. We should be setting the tempo as we're athletically superior to virtually every team we play. Im not bashing Cal, as im sure most would call me a pumper. Im just saying.

I expect a tuff game against the aggies!!

-With the referee bias, we will playing in the "8 vs.5" mode again.
-Aggies, as poor a shooting team as they are, will make everything they throw up in the air, maybe 15/17 from Three and shoot 90% from the line with WAY more FT opportunities than us.

-Some no-name, whatever, mid-roster player that nobody has ever heard of will suddenly play like Lebron James against us and go off for his career game.
Do you understand how lame that excuse sounds after offering it for every road game?

They play small so we have to punish them for that and not let those smaller guys get into Nick and EJ causing senseless fouls. I'm confident we can guard the perimeter reasonably well.

Let's carve that zone up like a Turkey on Thanksgiving!!!

Heading to College Station now.

3rd UK game there. 1-1 so far. Expect to be 2-1 after tonight. Saw the Nerlens team win and the loss in the Pat Adams bonehead technical on Hump.

We will win and cover (-5.5) tonight... I think we will be ahead double digits until last few seconds of game and then it will be 8 or so.

Either way, besides us winning I LOVE the fact that we are the main game (ESPN) and DOOK is stuck on their on conference network.

I forgot to add that we will win and still slip in the net rankings. SMH

I have had the pleasure of watching the CATS in College Station a couple times. Great atmosphere, the student section is similar to football games, they get after it. The down side was we got our asses kicked both times so I’ll be sitting this one out. Your welcome.

Lot's of "we should/will beat this team easily tonight" kind of talk. Admittedly, I had the same sort of impression of A&M - not much there. But I just read this from BTI at KSR, and it's pretty informative (an informative post from BTI!):

"Keep in mind some early season results for the Aggies, even in wins:

-Beat UL-Monroe by 6
-Beat Troy by 4
-Beat Texas A&M Corpus-Christie by 3
-Beat Texas Southern by 3
-Lost to Gonzaga (30), Harvard, Temple, Fairfield, Texas, and Oklahoma State

Their non-conference results were some of the worst in league history and I can almost guarantee there was not a worse offensive basketball team coming into conference play in the modern history of the league. I genuinely thought we were looking at a 1 or 2 win SEC team. Instead the Aggies are currently sitting at 8-6 in the conference with a real shot at the double bye in the league. Here is how much the Aggies are undervalued:

-Favorites in just 2 of 14 SEC games (yet won 8 games overall)
-Won outright at underdog in 7 SEC games
-Have won 3 games outright as underdog of 9 points or more

Consider that last stat. Three wins outright as an underdog of 9 points or more. How many other of those wins does the entire SEC have? ONE! Vanderbilt over LSU."

That's a pretty impressive turnaround, and makes one think whatever A&M was in December, they are more than that now....

They won at Alabama. Not easy to do. I expect us to win but don't see an easy game for us.
