I have followed him when he coached against my son in high school. Then he was hired at Samford and almost beat a big team last year. Just know this, he runs his teams very much like the movie Moneyball. Very intelligent and his teams shoot tons of three’s

Scott Padgett coached Samford the 6 years before Bucky. They never once finished better than 6th and only did that once. Bucky had them #3 in year 2, and then #1, #1, and #3.

If Buzz Williams was a basketball terrorist than this guy is part of Seal Team 6. Complete opposite style of play that's fun to watch.

Before Wofford slipped in this past year, Samford RULED the Southern Conference Tournament with their fanbase taking over Asheville, NC during tournament time the last 3-4 years. Bucky Ball generates a ton of excitement and it will be interesting to see how it translates to the SEC-level. Dude can coach and has been a big-winner everywhere he's been. Be interesting to see how it works out.
