Not good if true. First Fidone now this. A position of strength we were counting on just got thin. ****.
I’m sure Vokolec is more of concern for the staff if it’s true that he is out for 4-6 weeks..
Need Allen to be health and for Carnie to step up. We basically have no D-1 TEs after these two if Vokolec and Fidone are out. Possibly Rollins, but he's not ready yet.
Would be back before OU and remaining Big Ten schedule so not terrible.
If we cannot win those first three games without him we have a log bigger things to worry about.

TEs have been the single most hyped position every year and never show up on Saturdays anyway

They list 9 TEs on the roster. We know of Fidone being out for part of the year if not all of it, sounds like Vokolek will miss a couple games. I don't know if Carnie is back to full practicing or not, isn't he all the way recovered from his shoulder issue?
That sill leaves around 6 bodies, I would think they could manage a 2 TE set once in a while with 6 guys.

Corcoran, the 6-foot-6, 300-pounder, was at practice and had his pads on, but did not go through normal stretching with the team and did not take part in the walk-through reps with the top offense.
He had a similar start to practice last week on Wednesday.
With Corcoran limited, redshirt freshman Brant Banks got most of the work with the top unit on the offensive line. Sophomore walk-on Nouredin Nouili also got some work with the top group, which continues to also feature left guard Ethan Piper, center Cam Jurgens, right guard Matt Sichterman and right tackle Bryce Benhart.

so true. Other schools get production out of their TEs. Run after catch. Ours run to a spot, turn around and either catch it and fall down or whiff entirely. It has not been a strength.
Two weeks the injuries situation actually seems good to me.
- Two starters that are dressing but limited
- 2nd team tight end out 4-6 f(Back by OU and full Big Ten)
- No season ending injuries at this point
100% take that, we are in great shape on injury front at this point.
that is not good. He's a man without a country IMO. Too slow and lacking in athleticism to be a big bodied receiver, and too undersized to be an effective TE.
If you run Yant up the middle 10x in a row the TE’s on the edge may not make much difference.

Hickman is a WR. Hasn’t been playing TE for over a year now. Probably could fill in a few plays but not every down kind of TE
