If he wasn’t going to be asked to come back, why did Cal play him against Miss. St in the first place?

Don't know. Why did Allen play 30 minutes? Why did Ware play 20? Why did Toppin play 7 minutes? A week ago, Cal said he was down to a 7 man rotation. Dude was clueless this year.

The NBA's not big on guys who can't shoot. Look at MKG. He's now out of the league. Goodwin couldn't shoot. He's out of the league. Teague couldn't shoot. He's out of the league. James Young couldn't shoot, so he's out of the league, too. Same for Aaron Harrison, whose cameo with the Mavs a few years ago ended in woeful shooting percentages.

Clarke better learn to shoot way more consistently.

He needed another year.

Cal's system is rotten.
MKG played 9 years and is likely not finished. Teague needed another year. Bottom line all those guys have made millions either in the nba or overseas.

We'll see if Cal still goes after the mercenaries. He knows who they are. As it is now he has no choice. It's what he's built here.

Cal's system is a house of cards. I'd call 'ole TC the queen of diamonds. The whole thing is collapsing.

This could be turned around but it's hard to see how given how much Cal is invested in it.

He has surpassed Daniel Orton & Vanderbilt as my least favorite players of the Cal era. Don’t hate him, just have no sentiments or emotional attachment to him as a UK player.

Wish him the best in his future.

I don’t see how “fans” say he faked his injury. Sad
Because he did? Are you ok with us being a bus station to the NBA? I never want to see another recruit like him ever set foot on campus. Have absolutely nothing, just used everything and everybody he could in search of his selfish reward. We got zero, nada, nothing in return. No loyalty to anybody but himself. Good riddance to him and all those like him.

Which is the most sad?

The adult “men” who spent hours here venting their infantile fury and piling sad-sack ridicule on a teenager deciding to live his life the way he wants - and not the way they want?

Or is it the intrepid web sleuths who spent hours “exposing” someone whose alleged crime is being too positive about a basketball program and coach —which interrupts the adolescent hate-fest of a bunch of losers who have so little going in their lives that heaping abuse on Kentucky basketball is how they feel alive?

Close call.
Excellent post. Right on target.

Big joke.

I find the people who type up whiny posts like this worse.

I’m not gonna hate on the kid. Good luck to him and all the guys that decide to move on. I wish they had stayed but there are guys that we all know when they get here it’s for one year. Boston wont be far behind.

It’s on Cal to do a better job finding talented kids that value the college experience more and don’t have a foot out the door when they get to campus. Contrary to what many on here say, those do exist. Ncaa tournament is loaded with them.
There are a few. None were looked at as being dominant in highschool though.
So if you are cal, what do you do? If he starts recruiting kids ranked in the mid 100's and 3 star , nobody will tolerate that.
If unheralded kids look decent as freshmen at UK, they are wanted by the NBA. Cals way of playing offense, And beating your man off the dribble is top priority when scouts are looking at players

Ending generational poverty, he don't like winning. Capileri needs to make more shooters stick around these parts. Cept he looks at wing span, what's his vertical, standing reach ,yea can't forget standing reach , hahaha . He needs to go back north where he came from. Learn houta teach 3 point shots
