thanks for sending this.

If were to make a top 10 memorable plays of the year, the Mathis Dunk has to be in the top 3.

Others...

1. Geo's gamewinner against Nebraska
2. RHJ perfect at the free throw line against Penn State at home
3. the last minute against Penn State on the road (not all of the memories need to be positive...that moment will linger like the iowa shot did last year)

Geo’s dunk against Indiana has got to be on the most memorable plays list.
Was just about to post this. It's my phone wallpaper. That dunk was epic. It caused my downstairs neighbor to come up and complain bc I was jumping around screaming like a mad man

If you’re gonna include FT displays, you can’t keave out Caleb McConnell. Forgot which game at the RAC but he hit like 13/14 from the line including everything down the stretch.

Nice article. One odd thing about it - nice quotes on Mathis' game from Yeboah, Young, Geo, Pike, even Jalen Smith. No comment from Mathis?

Great article. Also, I've never heard the term "gobsmacked".

Along these lines, if not limiting to a singular play, then also need to consider including Geo's 23-point, 2nd half performance against NW.

Both amazing dunks. I think the Geo one was crazier bc I had no idea he could get up and throw it down like that. It had the extra shock factor. He definitely did not have that type of explosion earlier in his career.

That's why I had to put 2 pix of that one
But, I loved the way Mathis glared back at his buddy after the deed

Akwasi is a Brit, and their middle schoolers seem to have better vocabularies than our college grads. I'd heard the term before, but like you it caught my attention since it isn't used too often. If a friend of mine ever used it he would never hear the end of it. Ha!

As good as that dunk was by Montez last night, he had one earlier in the season (forget which game) where he jab stepped in the corner, blew by his man and threw down the hammer. That dunk was even more impressive than this one.

Helluva good article, very well written. Thanks for posting. And of course, well-deserved kudos for Tez.
