They (and Arkansas) will both regret not hiring Mike Leach after 2017 (and 2019 for Arkansas) for the next decade, maybe more. That doesn't have as much to do with what he does at MSU, but more to do with the fact that Leach is a PERFECT fit for what both of those programs have produced in the past, especially Tennessee. It was really that easy. Malzahn would have been a great one at Arkansas as well, just due to the ties, probably not so great at Tennessee. I don't know that he'd have been as good at MSU because you have some fire to do it here.

Leach at Tennessee would have opened up national recruiting for them again, and they've routinely gotten elite QBs and WRs. Good luck Vols.

I guess it was all a part of their plan. However if they end up having to pay Pruit after the lawsuit then they have wasted 2 mil for nothing. Tennessee seems pretty confident they won’t have to pay him, but they were confident Priit was a good coach at the beginning of the season.

It is absolutely mind boggling to me how far tennessee has fallen off the cliff with seemingly no way out. The money they have and still can't do anything is especially head scratching yet they can still get some prized recruits and nice recruiting classes because of name recognition only. Problem is though the recruits they get can't meet their full potential due to the horrible coaching they have every year.

Isn't mind boggling once you realize Fulmer must of been next level cheating for a long time. Makes sense actually. Not like Tennessee high school football is anything special. Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU being good at football makes sense. Their home recruiting base is loaded with players. Tennessee? Meh

Meh. Tennessee football is proof that karma is a real thing. Fulmer cheated his way into that job, cheated to build a program, snitched to get his main rival put on probation, conspired to ruin the reputation of a good coach (Schiano), and weaseled his way into the AD job. A more weasely and conniving person never existed.
