If we don't make some major improvement, the Vols will beat us both times in the regular season.
And we are and will. My gosh we are a missed three and a made three away from being 14-1 and the one loss coming to #1 Duke on a neutral court over two months ago!
Have a little hope laddy.

We will have to improve considerably to beat them because they will be fired up to play the cats.

It pains me greatly to say it, but the Vols are the best in the SEC and a legit F4 contender. I just hope we don’t lose 3 to them. This may be their best chance ever on the national stage, but the postseason hasn’t exactly been Barnes strongpoint.

I just threw up

we need them to lose a game against SC or whoever to make up for the Bama game on us.

I was hoping it would be Florida

If you are interested here is how that game went.

Florida made 9 three pointers in the first half and 2 two pointers. For the game it was 12 threes and 8 twos or something close to that.

Their starters only had 8 fouls called against them. Ours had 14, including Admiral who had 4 at the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half. One time he got a foul called when he was the one who got shoved.

Another time, Kyle Alexander lightly brushed up against a Florida player on a rebound and it was a foul.

Their were numerous calls and non calls in the game. Fulkerson got called for a flagrant and 1 early on for a hook and hold. A worse hook and hold happened to Grant and it was just a foul.

In my opinion, Florida was allowed to be physical and Tennessee was not. That being said, Florida had a great game plan defensively throwing out a ton of different schemes and then hitting a ton of threes. Tennessee made adjustments at half time on offense and defense and took control of the game in the 2nd half.

I don’t know about just two good players. Admiral was in foul trouble and Williams was cold but some guard took over last night and scored 15 straight. I think his name was Bowden or something like that.
Jordan Bone, Kyle Alexander, Lamonte Turner, and Jordan Bowden are all capable of taking over games and have shown it. Very deep, talented team.

Watch again. He didn’t walk

Yes, he did. Clearly took 3 steps without a dribble. That's a travel.

Regardless, Tennessee is much better than Florida and likely they would have finished them off anyway.

If we don't improve greatly, soon, a sweep could be on the horizon. I'm just not seeing it with this group of Cats. Something just seems off and the high end talent just isn't there compared to past Cal teams.

Thats how I saw it and the refs or announcers said nothing about an obvious travel.

It was a travel. Gators shot lights out in first half. Vols did a good job coming back to win.
