Even thought I believe the refs were trash, we can’t guard the 3 to save our life and idk why it’s such an issue this year.

It's why I have my doubts. We shot 54% and lost. We really do need to shoot (and make) some more 3s. Otherwise it puts a huge amount of pressure on us to shoot a high percentage from 2 and limit turnovers to maximize possessions. Just a harder way to go when you run into a team that gets hot from 3.

We've actually been really good at it for most of the second half of the year. It's kind of hard to game plan when UT has a guy who had missed 24 of his last 27 3' makes them

I think our inability to guard the 3 comes more from trying to stop Williams inside instead of trying to stop the 3 point shot. We chose the wrong poison today and it cost us. Hard to pack it in and guard the 3 point shot as well.

True. But a lot of them today really were wide open.

UT would've been silly to think they could keep up their first half pace. And they didn't. Got cold for a while.

But we would've been silly to think UT would keep bricking every one in the second half. Sure enough, they eventually made a couple and it cost us.

either give up a 3 point shot or take your chance with Williams always getting the foul called underneath. Many time a 3 point play. He is a PROTECTED player!!
