But I thought UT had already won their championship and the cut the nets down when they beat Gonzaga in that exhibition game…
They already hung the banner so they checked out the rest of the year, let’s hope they don’t have any of that usual UK championship game karma this year.

Fun Fact: Colorado's HC starting a brand new starting 5 today because he said "I don't have 5 guys worthy enough to put on a Colorado jersey." 😂

Also, this Colorado team lost to Grambling the other day lmaooo
Damn they must be bad…. I was surprised when I seen the score on ESPN I hadn’t seen this thread yet.

It is even worse that what you have posted. Barnes in 26 NCAAT:

TWELVE 1st round losses
7 2nd round losses
7 Sweet 16s
3 Elite 8s
1 Final 4

19 of 26 tourneys he did not make the 2nd weekend
That’s terrible, it makes no sense really but it’s funny AF . Dude couldn’t win with Kevin Durant and it’s not like he was a late bloomer, he was the best player in college probably at the time.

I’m pretty sure we would be showing those off 28 years from now lol. I’m so sad about Football.
Me too. UK football is the ultimate Charlie Brown. Just when you think you are about to climb to the top of the SEC ladder, Lucy shakes the damn pole and we fall off.

Unfortunately Cal will never watch any film on what Colorado did to stop Zakai Ziegler. At least we have Wallace this year.

Well, they didn't really do anything special or different. He just couldn't hit a shot and kept making bad plays. Colorado was playing good defense but it was just a straight up man to man, nothing unique.

I hate them, but it won’t matter unless we beat them this year, and I mean sweep. I am sick of loosing games to that ****** program. Flash those sec tournament rings, thats even worse than Indiana hanging banners for sweet 16’s

Tennessee looked very underwhelming in this game. Nothing they did seemed to work. Colorado didn’t really do anything special on either side of the ball, they just took what UT gave them.
Not only that, but in the first half, UT got all the calls. Most of Colorodo's guys had 2 fouls on them at halftime.
One thing that stuck out to me, was the lack of defensive pressure applied to the guards from both teams.
If UT wants to be a threat, they're going to need to change that. Colorado's guards were able to pick and choose where they wanted to go off simple swing passes around the horn.
Comparing that to the pressure Duquesne put on our backcourt Friday night, it was night and day. If you allow even decent guards to operate freely, you're going to give up a lot of buckets.

Excellent post. I was thinking many of the same things as I watched that game. I think Tennessee looked like they believed they were entitled to that win, and the referees were calling the game in the same way. I bet I saw a dozen or more iffy (at best) calls and some that were just blatantly wrong. But the defense was very weak for both teams. Their intensity increased at the end (maybe last 5 minutes) but I still saw a bunch of grabbing, hacking, and holding more than actual good defense. Colorado's point guard was going wherever he wanted on the court. And you're right, Duquesne is a no-name school outside the power 5 but they were defending much better than either Tennessee or Colorado.

This. Sometimes you just beat yourself with bad shootino. Not that we would know anything about that……….

I don’t even care about not winning the SEC but we should have had 9 wins this year at worst.
