After a good night's sleep, the loss last night hurt but wasn't the end of the season. Tennessee is in the top 50 of Massey ratings. We didn't play well but we probably learned some valuable lessons about always coming to play. UT played well.

We have not played well on the road all year with the exception of the Ole Miss game. I suspect the young players were thinking just a little about Kansas. Hopefully, we will start playing better on the road if not we will suffer more road losses.

Their record don't reflect what kind of team they are. They've played the number 1 sos and have played them all close. I think there a lot better than we give them credit for. Heck we have some people wanting to sit fox. We lose by 15+ without him.

6 of their losses are against ranked opponents. They lost to UNC by 2 @ UNC, lost to Gonzaga, Oregon, Wisconsin, Florida and South Carolina.

It was a bad loss, really bad. UT isn't awful but that game made KU an absolute must win.

Can't drop SEC games against mediocre opponents. Especially when UGA x2, UF x2, Bama are still left and are all significantly better than UT.

I know we aren't playing our best ball right now and we have things we need to work on, but I swear UK could win 30 games in a row by 30 points and then lose 1 game on the road by 2 and everyone would flip out and say this team is garbage and can't compete for a title. Smdh

I agree with what Cal said about his team needing a wake up call. Some of the players on the team this year are so good individually that they forget the team concept. Hopefully a loss like last night will open the kids ears up so the coaches can get them to focus. This team has championship potential but has no discipline at times. Something that can be fixed but takes a lot of mental focus. Monk stands out the most to me as a kid that could be the best player in the country if he would just play with more maturity. That no look pass last night killed us in the final minutes.. it was a prime example of his immaturity. But I'm sure he will figure it out

I agree but everybody is acting like there is no way we can win it all because of last night. Nobody acted like that when UNC got beat by Georgia Tech on the road by 15. That is a worse loss than ours last night. Tennessee beat Georgia Tech by 25 in the OOC

So at some point in time, you thought this loss meant the season was over.

Of course I want a #1 seed, and I absolutely rage out when I see an inferior team get all the help they can get to somehow steal a win on us.

Season is just fine.. #1 seeds just got murky with all the losses last night, and a win over Kansas knocks them below us.

Seeing as how it seems there's nothing we can do about road officiating, we need to just accept that Kentucky is going to get hosed every SEC road game, and to expect a few abnormal loses. Try and come away with 5 or 6 wins on the road, and we'll be good.

We have not played well on the road all year with the exception of the Ole Miss game.

Honestly, why do you think this is, almost every year? Just because we win road games some years with 3-4 future NBA all-stars doesn't mean there isn't an issue.

What, Cal just forgets how to coach on road games? The team forgets how to play?

There are two problems here whether you admit it or not:
1. Home/Away officiating is atrocious in college ball.
2. SEC officiating has made it so the home team has a distinct edge. Our conference has finished top3 almost every year in wins for the home team.

Or to put it another way, I'll bet we continue to have road woes the rest of this season, next season, the season after that,, and so on and so forth. Because I'm that confident there's a trend and an issue here.

Don't expect last night to be a one-time thing.

None of those teams are beating us at Rupp. So not sure why you are saying x2

I realized I shouldn't have posted what I did. I changed my post fairly quickly. BTW I never thought the season was over. I realize that the home teams get a few calls . What bothers me are the fans that don't realize we also get the same home cooking and that there is not a conspiracy against us.
