So I watch his film and seems more like a pass first guy, but still can escape with his feet.

Dig a little more and come up with this graphic from Max Preps..

undefeated state champions and named the best football team in Alabama.

TD to INT (42-3) is REALLY good too.

73% completion rate it seems

Does anyone have any more info?

1st Team All State Alabama 7A. QB of the 7A State champs. His QB Coach for the last 2 years has been Tua's dad. He was 5'10 as a Sophomore and has grown 3 inches in the last year.

The 2020 Thompson team was widely considered one of the top 10 HS football teams in the country.

He's also Catcher on their HS baseball team. And that should tell you all about his toughness.

Looks like he has a good arm and comes from one of the best programs in Alabama. Surprised he doesn’t have more big offers.

I've seen enough 6'0 QBs...no thanks.

Reminds me of Chase Daniel.

Chase was also downplayed as a HS recruit because of his height. He lead Southlake Carrol to 2 State Championships, and became the National HS Player of the Year after a career with 8300 yards and 91 TDs. Lightly recruited, he chose Mizzou over Oklahoma State, Stanford, and A&M back when they were marginal.

Daniel went on to have a monster career at Mizzou, throwing for more than 12,000 yards and 100 TDs. He has sense gone onto the NFL and earned more than $40 million as career backup.

I would also add this kid is the same height as Joey Ganz and Taylor Martinez.

Tate Martell, at 5'8, he is not.

Of course you can be successful being under sized. Tua was, Murray was, Brees. But the % show that you aren't going to be as effective throwing the ball at 6 feet. Always have to subtract an inch of off Rivals profiles as well. Taylor couldn't throw the ball well, Tommy couldn't throw the ball well. Offenses and rules have changed to where it is easier being under sized but I'll always take a QB at least 6'3 over someone who is not.

Taylor and Tommy's struggles throwing the football had nothing to do with their height.

Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, Vince Young, Marcus Mariota, Matt Leinart, Joe Burrow etc. NFL we obviously know height has always played a key in success. To each their own.

Maybe I missed it but I didn't see any rushing stats, ie., Yds/Attempts, for him. Probably those stats aren't very impressive I'd guess.

All I can tell you about him is if he comes here, his backup will be better

Is this just a pure speculation thread or is there some sort of smoke with this kid?

Can he put a football within 10 feet of an intended target if its 15+ yards downfield?

Asking for a friend.

I think there is a lot of mutual interest, but he's on the record saying he won't commit anywhere before he can take visits. With the NCAA likely extending the dead period longer, it will be difficult for Nebraska to earn a visit on his own dime.

On the flipside, Tennessee is interested in him and they're only a 3 1/2 hr drive.

Really? Because the QBs we have had here at NU above 6’3” have been probably our worst QBs. Sam Keller, Cody Green, Tanner Lee. I get that there are good QBs that height, but we are in NO position to be picky about this. I will take 6’1 all day if he plays like Joe Ganz, or hell, how about...McKenzie Milton??

Science proves longer arms mean better touch on the football (6'2 - 6'6 is ideal). Same with basketball. Same with pitching.
Alright guys, I'm pretty sure Jabroni is really just John Elway in disguise. Look what tall qbs have done for Denver in the past ten years (sans Peyton Manning).

Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Kyle Murray, Baker Mayfield, Jalen Hurts, Tua, Colt McCoy, Case Keenum, Spencer Rattler, MacKenzie Milton, even Johnny Manziel would all like to have a word with you!

Hell even Aaron Roger's is "only" 6'2. You would think that by now people wouldn't even question height of QB's anymore. Hell even most NFL GM's finally getting the message that this isn't Dan Marino's NFL anymore and you don't stand in the pocket looking over tall lineman.

Wilson and Murray have some the best deep ball game in the NFL.. I'm glad some of y'all aren't in the decision making when it comes to talent...

I would welcome a pass-first QB with open arms (and hopefully open competition)

leave the rushing to the RBs

relying as much as we have on running the quarterback is a losing formula (12-20)

Lot of short people on this forum 😆Relax

Lots of dudes on this forum who look like NBA players walking round. Problem is they got 2 left feet, no vertical and their jumpers didn't fall so instead they are working at Mickey D's, married to short fat wives and relegated to "commenting" on Nebraska message boards.

Nothing wrong with that tho. Relax........😃
