Tarboro played Northampton county from 2013 to 2016 and won in dominant fashion each time. Northampton looks solid doubt they can best tarboro in tarboro though.
I agree. They also got hit hard by COVID last season to. They are solid but against tarboro well ya knowRespect for their coach, typically does a great job with what he has. Of course, I feel the Viking s will be to much !
Very impressed by our defense Tonight. Holding a team that dropped 40 to 0 points Tonight very impressiveTarboro by a lot. The boys seemed to have turned it up a notch.
I hope so to. Gonna need it the rest of the season.Hope to see this team this dialed in the rest of the season
I agree. Do you know anything about Pender. I noticed they played East Duplin very close and then got blown out by Whiteville and then I think South Columbus beat them pretty good. We’re they missing some players in those games?Tarboro will win pretty easily and I’d say by 3 tds at least. I also think Pender beats Northside.
Unfortunately I haven’t seen Pender play this year. We have a long history playing them as they are only 13 miles from us but haven’t played them much the last couple of years. I think they are running the triple option offense and it’s hard for teams to stop that don’t see it very often, kinda like that Tarboro T when y’all play teams out of the normal area.I agree. If they are running the triple option tarboro has gotten pretty used to that the last 4 years playing edenton. So they'll be familiar with it.Unfortunately I haven’t seen Pender play this year. I was referring to Pender vs Northside. I don’t think NS will be able to stop that triple option. As far as Tarboro vs Pender, that will be a no contest. Tarboro easily. If they are running the triple option tarboro has gotten pretty used to that the last 4 years playing edenton. So they'll be familiar with it.
Oh ok my bad. I saw Pender gave East duplin quite a game thoughI was referring to Pender vs Northside. I don’t think NS will be able to stop that triple option. As far as Tarboro vs Pender, that will be a no contest. Tarboro easily.
I figured that had something to do with itThe Pender-Whiteville score was a little misleading, Pender was without a few of their main players.
Guess they didn't learn from 2013 to 2016 lolJust saw someone share on Facebook where some Northampton people posted they were gonna “step all over the Tarboro T” on Friday lol. Let’s see how that works out for them.
May not be as dominant but are peaking at the right time and playing very well.Several teams poking the bear this year. Must recognize we are not as dominant this year, so they can take some shots at us

I’ve thought all year our offense was a state championship offense - it was just the defense that wasn’t playing at a state championship level. However, in the last few weeks the defense has really started playing at a higher level. The starting defense has only given up 8 points since the first Perquimans game - and that was because the offense fumbled the ball at like the 10yard line against Gates County.May not be as dominant but are peaking at the right time and playing very well.
Aside from the Rocky Mount game our offense has been good this year. Not as explosive as the past offenses in say 17 and 18. I genuinely believe if tarboro played rocky mount again we'd win we were just off that night. Defense has definitely stepped up since the first perquimans game also they have started making tackles instead of missing them. We definitely aren't guaranteed to win it all by no means but I feel much better about tarboro's chances than say a month ago. Tarboro honestly could have shutout southeast Halifax but they really backed off in the second half.I’ve thought all year our offense was a state championship offense - it was just the defense that wasn’t playing at a state championship level. Not saying we’re guaranteed to win it all, but I feel a lot better about our chances than I did at the beginning of the year.
Tarboro did attempt a field goal last week for the first time in 5 years I believe. And it was blocked lol. Tarboro by 43Tarboro is primarily a football school for those unaware. All of their priorities is focused on football. I want to see the defense be dominant. Remember Tarboro will not kick a Field Goal. @-point conversion all night.

For a program as good and well rounded as the Vikes are, you would think they would have at least a decent place kicker on the squad. I realize that most of your games are blowouts with you all bullying the other team. So more often than not, you guys can easily get 2 point conversions and not have to worry about FGs or extra points. Does Tarboro have a soccer team? If so, seems like Coach Craddock could convince one of the players to kick on Fridays nights in the fall. When you get deep in the playoffs and finally start meeting tougher teams, those extra points or short field goals can make a difference.Tarboro did attempt a field goal last week for the first time in 5 years I believe. The kid we have is actually a really good high school kicker. The issue is either the snap or the blocking. He’s 34-48 on the year with extra points and id bet over half of the misses are related to a bad snap or not enough time to get a kick off.For a program as good and well rounded as the Vikes are, you would think they would have at least a decent place kicker on the squad. My little crew of curmudgeons in the stands have debated this through the years. We figured we would be better off going for 2 rather than kicking extra points. Craddock seems determined to kick extra points. I think the logic is you need a kicker. Extra points will keep the team prepared operationally in case a FG attempt is needed in a tight game. TarVikes got it right. You have to block, snap, hold and kick consistently to make FGs. The kicker is fine. The rest of the special teams isn’t always as focused as they need to be.For a program as good and well rounded as the Vikes are, you would think they would have at least a decent place kicker on the squad. Willing to bet if we get to states it'll be closeY’all won’t have a close game this year
Welcome back howerin I ain't seen you on here in a long time. Agree with what you said though, our kicker is good we just always have issues with special teams and extra points. After Layton graduates this year I won't be surprised if next season we go for two EverytimeMy little crew of curmudgeons in the stands have debated this through the years.
