A friend of mine at the game said Tarboro's backs were carrying the ball "like a loaf of bread"...And he's a coach...I bet next week's practices will not be "player friendly".
Yeah I’ve noticed that the first two games. Very loose with the ball

Those fumbles killed Tarboro. People saying they stopped us really 🤣🤦. Haters I tell ya
But they did stop Tarboro. Those fumbles were caused by the defense. Especially that last and most crucial one. Watching it online live gave the luxury of rewinding and replaying. That last one was a classic strip. Draughn had been cradling the ball all night, instead of securing it with his body. He even had a fumble earlier that was ruled down. But looking at it several times, you could see the he lost it before hitting the ground. Unfortunately, this night, Tarboro got Craddocked. The halftime adjustment was in Hunt's favor. You're talking about Tarboro hate. It's gonna grow even more because you aren't giving credit where credit is due. Tarboro got stopped in the second half, and couldn't stop Hunt's qb in that same time frame. Yes, Tarboro was moving the ball as they normally do, but a caused turnover is a stop. And giving up 35 in the half? Tarboro didn't beat themselves. Hunt beat them. Plain and simple. No need to be arrogant in defeat. That's Wilson Prep-ish.
And man, if yall don't work on that passing lol😄. Those plays at the end were sooo bad lol.

I’m with you on everything in this post other than the last point….

if not working on passing gives us a record of 240 wins and 25 losses, and 9 state championships over the last 18 seasons….sign me up 😂

Not saying that to be boastful - just saying I’m not about to question tarboros scheme because of a 2 point loss in August against a team many thought would beat Tarboro in the first place.

No, I know that's not Tarboro's forté, and hasn't needed to be. I was just poking fun at how weird it looked to see them drop back to pass, and how God awful it looked.

That's the recipe to beat Tarboro. Keep it close, capitalize on mistakes, a try to be leading late with short time and a long field for Tarboro. There's just so few teams that can actually do it. And Tarboro rarely makes the mistakes they made last night. They even went for it on 4th and 8 versus Rocky Mount and ran the ball in easy field goal range. They are very good at what they do, but sometimes it is a head scratcher.

I bet you they won't fumble the ball the rest of the season lol. I'd love to see what the next practice is like for the offense. Probably all ball security drills lol.

A young Viking squad is playing a tough non conference schedule. It's a loss they'll grow from and experience that'll definitely help going forward. On to Havelock
