amazing when:
- the Ends can actually contain and pressure the QBs, rather than be dominated.
- O’Neil led team with 10 tackles and 2 TFL, and played his best game of the year
- The Left Tackle is effective, rather than overmatched. Needham had his best performance of the year.
- Ian Strong had a favorable matchup, and led all receivers with 88 receiving yards
- 3rd Down DL of #90 Abdou Rahman, #91 Gnago, #94 Weaver, #99 O’Neil was quite effective, even if they didn’t get a lot of sacks
- We can run the ball. Raymond gets the game ball with 250 rushing yards on 41 carries
- The coverage busts are in the other side
- The line can give Athan adequate time to find open receivers
- The DBs can keep up with the WRs
- LBers have enough speed to impact the game
- Safeties cover and tackle well
- DT Sheffield can impact the game with a TD catch.
Thankful for the timing of the bye, which will allow the feeling of victory linger for two weeks.
The Coaches didn’t just learn how to coach in the last week. Against Maryland, They had adequate talent where their coaching made a difference.
Their coaching probably won’t make a difference, when we face Ohio State, because Ohio State has too much talent. Things are going to be different when we can’t cover adequately, run the ball effectively, or protect adequately.
Who knows what will happen against Penn State. That is a team going through internal turmoil and strife. But they do have more talent than we do. Nevertheless, we have a fighting chance in that game.
Up till this point, we won every game we were supposed to win.
