Not saying they are not fantastic offenses (they are), but it seems the talent gap in Big 12 offenses and defenses is very wide. Just like the argument is made the State's "elite" defense (per Mike Patrick) is ranked highly because they have played terrible offenses, perhaps the Big 12 offense are reaping the benefits of going up against some less than stellar defenses. Iowa State, A&M, and K State can't stop anyone, much less the Longhorns and Red Raiders of the world. Baylor, Kansas and Colorado aren't much better. There haven't been many intersectional games I can think of by which to gauge this. Texas destroyed Arkansas, but the Hogs D is not good. It will make for an interesting argument leading up to the Florida/Bama vs Tech/Texas/Oklahoma BCS Championship game.
