Pike did a great job in that last timeout when he could have gone to the hot Mathis or set up an inside play with Carter but he let Baker make a statement play. That was baker, and only Baker, from the start and Baker responded. This is his team. He may not be an elite player but he is good and Pike sent him a huge message at the end of this game.

Have supported Geo as a PG, but think he puts too much pressure on himself there. Would be great if Mulcahy can win that job in the OOC sked next season, with Geo playing the 2. He was a fine passer out of that slot when Corey played point. Just loved to see the return of that fire in him when he made the shot. Also respect to RUSC--not many guys that got overly down on the team are going to walk their comments back, let alone apologize.

Great tonight...I overreacted the other day. Not a point guard though. Look forward to him playing off the ball next season.
Geo is a baller. Kid went theu horrible slump. He is #1 target of every opponent and has a heavy load and even heavier being a PG which is not his forte. Kid will leave Rutgers as a legend

Isn’t it funny that an unheralded kid from New Hampshire, who wanted to be at Rutgers, hit a game clincher shot against a 4 star NJ star who left home like his brother did for so called “greener pastures”. It won’t be overrated catholic kids that take Rutgers to the top. Trust me!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not a take back....it's called a step back...Geo has added the step back jumper to his arsenal.....also a nice behind the back pass at 3 point line to Harper on screen and pop, which was an added element to his game.

Giving coaches like Pike, Hobbs and especially Brandin Knight a LOT of credit with the development of not just Baker, but the guards in general are improving month to month. You don't upset Ohio State at home without all 4 guards playing well defensively, rebounding and taking care of the rock.

Gio was great in the first half on offense. OSU must have made adjustments and pretty much shut him down in the 2nd half, till the very end.

It would be great if he was not to the focal point of other teams
And was able to play alongside equal offensive threats. Maybe Mathis
Is sneaking up on a couple of teams, and that certainly helped

This. If there is a lesson its not to get too high or low based on individual game performances. If he does not hit that shot and RU loses I bet he is getting a lot of criticism for his second half lack of production. He is a solid piece for the program but gets in trouble when either we ask or he feels the need to do to much. The best part of the win for me was the more balanced scoring attack.

With regard to Muhammad, I get the lack of love but I thought he played a pretty good game as well.

although he is not the outright start of OSU, I paid more attention to Muhammad, more so than the rest of their team....I was hoping he would play poorly and we win.....He wound up looking pretty good

Muhammad and Baker were jawing at each other all game. Noticed it a few times. Fun matchup to watch. He made it tough on Geo in the second half. They both played well.
