Whaddaya got planned? We're gonna be set up in the Black Lot by noon. I know @AreYouNUTS will be out in Blue around 10. We're planning marinated chicken tenders for the early meal and salmon for the later one.

Spill it!

Noon? Aren't students and faculty still going to be using the Black lot? Anyway, Black and Silver lots are great. Easy in and out.

What kind of dweebs are taking Friday afternoon classes! My friends and I always avoided those like the plague
I think it's different these days based on my observation. When I drive home from work in NB on Fridays, I am surprised at how much traffic - both foot and car - there is.

Nah I get it I was just messing around. I know Busch is different than Livi or CA. Most of my friends were in the business school so their schedule was mostly on Livi at similar times. But if you're taking Orgo I know you're at the whim of the Busch schedule

Yeah, was wondering that myself. We'll find out!

When we parked in Black/Purple (like 2007 to 2023), and there were Thurs/Fri games, it was never a problem.

I actually find myself sitting in traffic getting annoyed saying to myself, "It's Friday, what are all these students doing going to class!" :)

Friendly greetings from a Hawkeye. We're flying in for the game, first time @ Rutgers. Have had a couple of RU fans stop by our board with advice.

Would appreciate any tips to have a great game day experience. We'll be in early enough to explore a little around the area so any off-campus suggestions as well?

Thanks! Looking forward to a good game.

It’s only mid Sept. but given the large German influx into Iowa back in the day and the continuing strong heritage, Shelby condones the menu.

@BunchofAholes this is the link he was referencing but if you have any additional questions past that let us know!

Easton Avenue has all the student bars (mostly) where as George street is a little more alumni/older crowd. The game day ops has shuttle from College Ave campus to the stadium or you can uber.

The stadium itself is surrounded by tailgate lots and we also have the boardwalk with games, food, etc.

What can I say, Mrs Screw? I'm always looking for more friends!

Actually we're getting in earlier than expected so I'm looking for other activities. (Was a time I could drink for 8 hours straight, not any more). Your info was fantastic, didn't want to pester you again.

4 in our group have kids' activities until 7 pm, so we'll see them in our seats and we just have 5-6 of us and my son and his friends are working until 5 pm and I'm driving up from OCNJ just for the game, so we won't get into yellow until 6:30 pm probably. Means very casual "tailgate" with snacks, beverages and boardwalk/stadium food, but should be a nice hour to relax before heading in around 7:30 pm.

Especially 1st period!
One of the things that sucked about doing Army ROTC was friday morning 8:30 classes for 3 years..... Plus several times a semester we had a 8:00(or maybe even earlier, I can't remember, it was 30+ years ago - ugh!) Battalion formations over in Buccleugh park...
