We did, our talent was just so good from schiano that he survived and actually beat Michigan and an sec team twice.

I agree. Schiano can recruit but wasnt a good game day guy. Marrone would have destroyed Schiano if they were still coaching vs each other. All that talent in that state. No conference chips. Makes no sense.
Makes plenty of sense, RU was atrocious before Schiano, respectable/mediocre during his tenure, then started slipping under the waves during Flood's watch. The longer Flood stayed the more damage that would have been done to RU. It looks as though with Ash RU be able to reach its potential.
Editing to say, not so sure Marrone would have had Schiano's number every year, but we will never know

I love these. We would have won the Big East if Townsend had caught the ball against WVU in 2006, but I bet you care as much about that excuse as we do about yours.

The real difference is who's allowed to post. You and other SU fans come and go as you please on this site, but on syracusefan.com Rutgers fans get banned for no really reason. I was banned and I hadn't posted in months. Btw, is Rutgers a rival of Syracuse? According to the SU fans there is no rivalry. The two haven't played in years, but it sure seem like it.[winking]
Rutgers is referenced almost as much as the name Syracuse is on that site. If they are talking about the moon someone will through Rutgers name in there for good measure.[roll]

Hey Money, I remember going over there and just like you did by saying if we didn't fumble that ball,we would have won, the Cuse fans convinced themselves they won the games against Rutgers (when they actually lost) because they put up this amount of yardage. Not giving any credit to the other team defense. That was hilarious. It wasn't 1 or 2 fans but almost everyone agreed they won by a new method of counting wins. You have to admit that's funny.

Yes it is funny. We have no choice but to put a positive spin on it. It was a close lost. All I remember was Schiano celebrating that win like it won the Super Bowl. Hugging coaches and players an all. That was funnier than anything.

The losing side tends to say things like, "look how stupid they look celebrating," between tears.
