Glass houses. Babers got a win over Virginia Tech in his first season. Not sure we want to start a worst program in the Power 5 conversation.
Overall we are the better program though last year they are the better team.

I grew up in Upstate NY & miss playing them...some of my fav WINS were vs Cuse!
This reminds me of the teasing #117 Rutgers fans gave #118 Temple in 2000/2001 for being the worst team in the country.
Rutgers is a great program that has had 2 years of horrible teams because of a bad coaching hire. However the PROGRAM (fan base, facilities, team alumni, brand, etc) is much better than Syracuse football. Cuse played LSU last year and couldn't sell the 40k seat dome out. We were 2-9 playing #5 PSU getting ready for a beating and filled the joint. Sorrycuse
I love this board, but these are the kinds of things where some of you are guilty of getting carried away. You guys played in the first college football game; you should know the sport didn't begin in 2006. RU is better positioned than Syracuse moving forward, but let's not make it out to be Alabama compared to South Alabama.

Cause scored nearly as many points in one game against a conference opponent than we scored against all of our conference opponents. (Couse still lost the game though.)

Potential (RU) is great, as is history/tradition ((Cuse). But neither guarantees success. I don't think there is any measurement which would classify Rutgers as a great program. There were multiple threads on this board - and other stories - which indicated Penn St fans had a huge presence at HPSS. Not sure you want to claim that sell out as a plus.

C'mon. The gap, if there is one (and if there is one, and it's in the direction you'd like to think), between RU and Syracuse is negligible.
I would focus a bit more on Maryland than the Cuse...Maryland recruited quite well and is above RU in the division.. Well then again so is everyone else..I like Ash and think if given time will win at RU but how can a fan of RU look down their nose at any P5 program? Mind boggling

Wondering why Rutgers fans obsessing with Syracuse since Rutgers has moved on from them.
Seems like everyone connected with Rutgers has moved on except for a small portion of the fan base that just can't seem to cut the cord...
Syracuse is not the measuring stick.
We need to define our own standard and work on improving on that.
No need to piss on other programs, especially coming off a two win season IMO.
