Well, I have changed my mind about this team since the Jacksonville game. I thought then that it would take 10 years in order to win another state title, I think now in 5 years with the right players we will be players again. The sophmore class is really coming along Jacoby Johnson is a horse at RB, but unfortunately he is banging Varsity players while he should be running all over JV teams. The rest of this season is still rocky, and honestly 4 wins is all I could put money on at this point. N Lenoir we should win and against Dixon we should win. I will say this if we come together a little more, we could beat Croatan and N Brunswick and that would mean a lot to me.
Dempsey seems to call a really good game. I think fundamentally we are a stronger team under Dempsey. With a lot of players not playing this year Dempsey is coaching a very young team. I will put it this way if this group stays together we will be as good as E Duplin this year next year, and I can take that from a 2nd year coach.
Stallion faithful is hanging in there, we have seen enough greatness out of teams we can appreciate it takes time to build a winner.
