Timme reminds me of Enes Kanter as far as his pro potential. But he is a better passer and ball handler than Kanter.

Kanter's numbers this year: 60% fg 78% ft 12.3 ppg 11.8 rpg

The only good thing coming out of the 2021 season was the Cats did not have to play Gonzaga. They are a fun team to watch. Emphasis on team.

Pretty much knew the only chance Creighton had was to catch fire from three. Since I knew that, I'm sure Mark Few did as well. Creighton's missed some good looks, but Gonzaga did a good job of running around on the perimeter defensively and making Creighton drive it for the most part.

Timme kind of a douche move blowing kisses after a dunk. Unsportsmanlike. Hate the zags so much.
He's not blowing kisses, it's his patented 'stache swipe. He's paying homage to his goofy facial hair. He doesn't take himself seriously at all.

What team left has the best chance of knocking off Gonzaga? Whoever it is is going to have to score a lot of points. I don't see anyone holding them under 75. I think Alabama could do it if they got them in an up and down game, and drained about 15 threes. I don't think Baylor, Houston or Florida State are good enough on offense to beat them. Those three are the most likely to hold them under 75 though.
FSU just because of their size and 3PT shooting. Gonzaga's only iffy part about them is their paint defense and size. If USC wins against Oregon, Mobley could give Zaga fits in the Elite 8.

He literally put both hands to mouth then up in the air, even announcer called it out.

I don't know the full backstory on all of those names but, I can tell you that 6 deaths does not constitute "systemic racism. I hate that anyone dies violently but, when you run afoul of the law you do risk a confrontation with police. George Floyd, for example was not some innocent pedestrian who just happened to be strolling down the street when he ran into police officers. He had a long rap sheet and had just passed a counterfeit check. Plus, he was full of enough Fentanyl to kill three people.
So he deserved to be Murdered and there was many many more then six as you well know and as I said if it isn't your family member then who cares the cops must be right ; they can do no wrong right

No matter how you try to justify their murders they are still murders by the same people that are there to protect

Hope FSU shows up next half. Then knocking Michigan out basically wins all my bracket pools for me as long as Baylor makes the title game.

Wrong. Officer has been accused of murder. That's different from a conviction. However, I do have my doubts that those charged will receive a fair trial.
And what if the officer in questions is not convicted? What then? Will you accept that he was innocent? Or will be cheering on the rioters as they burn and lot more businesses?

Smith for Michigan looks like a junior high player out there. 5’11” no way.

Whenever a defender falls down, it is a charge now, something needs to be done about the charge call, it ruins games consistently.

See...I disagree with a part of this about Pitino. Pitino revolutionized college basketball by focusing on shooting the 3 and defending the opponents 3 point Shooting. That is still relevant today. See Alabama a d every other team who can light it up from 3 land. In addition Pitino was a master of game planning for the other team. He was notorious for having his assistants break down game film and find weaknesses of the other teams stars. I can remember Tim Duncan and Keith Van Horn to name a few that Pitino shut down In tournament games. Cal by his own admission does t even look at other teams. He always says I only worry about my team. Pitino would be a legend today if he had not lost his way stayed at UK. From a purely coaching perspective it’s a no Contest.
Good points and I agree. I think I was more speaking in general that at the time Pitino was on the cutting edge, and in a different sense Cal was on the cutting edge regarding the one and done model.

And it is interesting that Rupp was on the cutting edge of fast break basketball back in the 40s and 50s. Maybe that is what UK fans crave the most: being at the forefront of innovation while winning at a high clip.

I’m in the “give Cal another year because he’s earned the goodwill but he needs to recalibrate” camp. A lot of the criticism I’ve read does come back to style of play. Interesting to think about. How high on the priority list does style of play sit?
