Robbinsville and Dee Walsh a class act..Walsh agreed to have running clock in all of second half. I don't think his starters saw the field after midway through second quarter. No showboating, no talking..Just helping players up and atta boys..

Times have changed so much. Who honestly would have thought this would ever be a comment made about the Swain football program? Which school will be next?

For real. The tradiiton of Swain, Murphy, and Robbinsville is incredible. And with the beautiful new indoor facility at Swain i would think kids would be flocking there. Might have the best home stand view in the state. I hope they get things turned around. Maybe time to get some new blood in there with a fresh perspective on doing things.

The fact that Swain stood there and ran the clock out the last 42 seconds of the game instead of even trying speaks volumes. We laid down for you guys. At least TRY to do something. Worst case is we run maybe 2 plays and end the game 38-6, but at the very least, TRY.

Saw the same thing at the end of the North Buncombe-Reynolds game. NB QB took a knee twice to end the game, a 42-13 Reynolds win. First time I'd seen a team do that while trailing on the scoreboard.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but I bet Covid has played in to numbers this year for Swain.
