Surry Game

I've heard rumors of the free throw count being blatantly one sided in Surry's favor. Any truth to it?
I have no horse in this race. Simply asking if the FT rumor was true. While it may not be an "excuse," it can have a major effect on game play and trajectory. A 32 FT difference is ludicrous.
I also wasn’t there. Just heard Surrey went to the line an incredible amount of times in comparison. But they do have some solid guys.
So not sure if that says they just drew that many legitimate fouls or really did get some one sided officiating. If they went to the line 20+ times, that should definitely contribute to a 20+ point win. Not too mention W&L sounded to have several foul out or in foul trouble. But Surrey is going to tough regardless of circumstances.
Whatever the case was, hopefully the officials at all venues tonight call a good game. Let the teams win legitimately if they’re the best. Let the game play speak for itself so the fans can see a good game.

I’m kind of in the same boat as you. It’s not often you see that wide a margin at the free throw line if the game is being called evenly. Again, I wasn’t there but that’s a HUGE difference.
It was clear that W&L couldn't keep Surry guys in front of them without fouling. Should every call have been made....probably not but Surry had the clear advantage when driving to the basket. As far as Surry's defense, it was pretty solid. Unfortunately for W&L just ran into one of those teams that they couldn't stop from getting to the basket without fouling. Sometimes...A foul is a foul.
I’m going to assume most will agree with all those comments made towards officiating. I don’t think anyone wants to blame officiating, and I know for sure no one wants to see crappy lop sides calls. We all want to see a good game with calls being made evenly on both sides. Especially this deep in the season.
So let’s hope tonight is one of the days when fouls being called are truly fouls. Because that “sometimes” is the word of the day depending on the officials are. It’s the luck of the draw.

Wasnt really that lopsided w&L just couldn’t stay in front of surry’s guards and size made a difference... w&l had 3 players foul out while both of surry’s sr guards did.. no excuse
Yeah and at the end of the day, it's not like W&L was the greatest defensive team, not disciplined to say the least. I actually feel bad for the kids because they actually have a decent atheletic 5 (not starting 5). Maybe that program will get turned around like the girls when changes are made.
