Vonnahme- out of nowhere.

Lauck- huge question mark position after 4 yr starter Mason Richmond graduated...Trevor handled with all BIG honors

Sharar - gap at lber coming in but he became a playmaker late in year

Merrieweather - he is a big hitter no one mentioned in off season

Lutmer- we knew he had potential but he exceeded expectations.

RVZee- like his HS teammate, lutmer, we liked small sample last year but he now has proven big play capability.

Godfrey,Wallace,Howard, McNeil, buffington are promising guys who could surprise next year.

Hawks sustain and abide!

Opportunity. That one word explains a lot of things in life as well as in sports. Many great people are never heard from because they never were graced with an opportunity to show what they could do. Examples are everywhere, but just look at Curt Cignetti. Nobody had heard of him until he took the Indiana job, a graveyard of college football. And now he's 25-2 and two games from the national title. But what if Indiana had hired someone else and Cignetti had stayed at James Madison?

Opportunity. It's a thing.

Next year outside of the obvious spot of WR, the LB core might have the biggest breakout season we've seen in a minute. Weisskopf, Reis, and Buffington could be something special.

And that is why brian ferentz should have left Iowa from being asst OC and run game coordinator to be a UNI type head coach or a James Madison level OC or head coach

And also why AD Beth should have a list of multiple seasoned head coaches who are winners, who have the reputation of being a players coach and an organized coach.

Lauck always in my mind kind of the forgotten man because even though a great 4* addition but overshadowed by all the Procter drama.
