I don't think Lee will be the next head coach, but it's at least plausible. The optics alone, hiring a coach who failed at your in-state rival, would be terrible.

But Ray and Monte have a history. He's here. It would be an easy move.

They do....but there have been rumors (none proven) that Ray encouraged Lee for the CoC opening so he could bring in Holbrook.

He is a good coach, motivator and develops his players and has Gamecock history (skin in the game).
He deserves consideration.
