I don’t have any complaints about starting on Saturday for us, but it’s totally bizarre that they decided to start all the left side bracket games on Fri and the right side games on Saturday.

All 4 of the matchups on the left side weren’t finalized until yesterday (some very late last night), whereas 2 of 4 of the right side were finalized on Sunday and the other 2 were finalized early in the day on Monday.

Literally 50% of the teams in the lefthand bracket will be starting the super regionals on 3 days rest, and 2 of those 4 teams will be on the road. Troy also has 3 days to get a stadium and field ready to host a Super Regional that they had to have no 17ing clue they’d be hosting, they haven’t played a game there since May 10th, and the entire southeast has been getting rain dumped on it for 3 weeks straight. It makes no sense at all that they didn’t start that side on Saturday.

That plus you’ve got Cal Poly finding out last night they have to travel from CA to West Virginia and their game is the very first game on Friday.

Kinda the same deal with USC having to travel to UNC, but they were already in Texas so I guess they just won’t go home before Friday.

This was all set up to make it harder on the SEC to dominate the CWS.

I am amazed they didn't switch the Auburn and Kansas regionals. As it is OM or AU has got to be a heavy favorite on that side.

Let's just get there and worry about the injustice of it all later.

I'm loving the early Saturday and Sunday starts on the road in Athens. It will dampen the spirits of the UGA crowd - what there is of one anyway. And it will keep our boys in the taking-care-of-business mindset.

I like the early starting time. To me it takes away from a night setting, home field advantage. Not when I’d prefer to watch, but it’s all about getting the W.

Pretty sure it's all about which bracket starts in Omaha next Friday and which one starts next Saturday.
