I’m guessing that most (but not all) those complaining about this game have NOT been to an RU game in a mostly packed garden. It’s a great experience!
Play there every year with it being a home game every other year? Sounds phenomenal!
I was at the msg Michigan game and aside from losing it was a spectacular environment. I was looking forward to playing msu there the following year but was Covid canceled.
Exactly, give up a home game but gain an extra every year. I’ll take that trade off.
Plus it counts a neutral site in NET. Garden will be packed with scarlet again

I’ve been to MSG for 3 RU games (Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan).

They were enjoyable, but I’m probably over going there unless it’s a marquee OOC game.

I’m also off exit 4 of the turnpike so the RAC is a lot easier to get to. NYC is a whole day event. I can see why folks in North Jersey/NYC love the idea of playing at the Garden, and why folks south of exit 10 prefer the RAC.

Also I wouldn’t go as far as saying we “gain an extra home game every year”.

When we played Michigan and Wisconsin at MSG it was way closer to a neutral site crowd than a home crowd. These BIG teams fill the Garden as well.

There is always the possibility that this
game would be a MS home game, with RU
playing them again the following year as the home team
I would think that should be done on occasion, the other team sacrificing first
