You left of Brayden Burries stat line:
Brayden Burries347-112-47-85223

That's 44 points from the two super frosh on a combined 15-22 shooting. The OP cherry picked this one.

I assumed he was picking players that were the #1 player on their team, but that would include at least one of these two.

It really is an all-time class though. This post doesn't even include Brown from Louisville, Mullins from UConn, Cenac from Houston, and Henderson from Miami, who were all in the tourney.

Also, there is Arenas at USC, Yessoufou from Baylor, Nigel James from Marquette, Mingo from Penn St, and Haralson from Notre Dame. Elite players too.

I think Moreno arguably belongs on your list as well.

Zona's 2 best players are freshmen, not just Peat. In fact, Burries is the higher projected NBA prospect. But yes, they have talented portal players around them,.
Not according to the Big VII coaches. But you may be right at this point, and they're very good players regardless.

Freshmen rarely get you to the promised land.
You do realize you pretty much just listed the top LOTO picks in the 2026 NBA Mock Draft

Good luck picking an all freshmen team in a normal year. This freshman class isn’t your normal class. Next year’s class is abysmal in comparison.

Burries and Peat will lead their team to the championship game against a team of high priced portal players in Michigan. But the key is both teams have players and more importantly both teams have coaching. Did anyone notice how well Arizona passed the ball and handled the ball ...something we desperately missed this year.
Arizona is impressive for sure. They are well coached and athletic. They throttled the hogs and barely broke a sweat.

I’m down with 1-2 stud freshmen. I don’t ever want to see a freshman laden team ever again.

Ideally, there would be a blend of 1 or 2 freshmen studs that will only be there for one year. A few really good pieces from the portal and some returning players that are getting better each year inside the system.

This is the dumbest thread.

Uconn just wont back to back titles woth Stephon Castle freshman scoring 15 points in the the 2024 title game and in 2023 Clingan and Karaban were both freshmen contributing alot. Obviously Clingan came back and helped them win again in 2024.

This year most likely one of these teams that win will have a super freshman just based on the amount of teams with a good freshman because ot was the best frosh class in decades.

Thats also why it doesnt happen as much as you think it should OP... if there are only 15 "superstar" freshman a year... and 300 plus div 1 teams...yea odds are against one of the teams with a freshman winning. Thats like me before the tournament saying will you take the field or team X?

Freshmen rarely get you to the promised land...yet Arizona, this year's BEST team, starts THREE freshmen.
