Headed to Gulf Shores with my wife for a meeting. We usually go to Desten. Is there a nice Seafood restaurant with a view of the Gulf?

I saw the thread from last month but the only one that mentioned a view was Tacky Jacks at Fort Morgan.

I just ate at Playa in Orange Beach. We sat on the upstairs back porch with a great view of the bay and gulf. The sun doesn’t set over the gulf; it’s directly west. Food was pretty good.

Best sunset view is at Cobalt without a doubt. Nice outside area with a bar overlooking the pass and facing west. Thumbs up to Playa though as the previous poster mentioned. Pro Tip there….Go upstairs and get a seat at the bar with no wait.

Cobalt - on the bayou/bay
Sea n Suds - directly on the Gulf
Both great but if I had only one night, I’d probably pick Cobalt
Two totally different restaurants and atmospheres too.

Ed's on the causeway has a great view. I once dined by the romantic glow of a diesel fire on I-10 on the bridge across from me.

Ok, no joke. Bucky's lounge at the Point Clear Marriott in Fairhope has an insanely good sunset view over Mobile Bay. Honestly it may well be your best western view in Baldwin county. I do think the restaurant at the State Park pier is back open. I don't know anything about it but the view should be fantastic there as well.
