I cannot believe NC State is going to win this game and go to the Final Four. This has 1983 vibes to a degree.

On Duke, hopefully McCain and Flip leave- if not, them and Flagg form a solid core already next year sadly…

How the F4 is officiated means a lot. Someone said Edey could get a foul called on the defense every offensive possession, which is true. But he also fouls every time the ball is coming off the glass for a rebound. The biggest thing is will Edey be allowed to stay in the paint 7-9 seconds like ge did today? If so, Purdue wins the Natty!

Not just that but the refs in this tournament have allowed big men to lower their shoulder and blatantly bump men off of them to get space. Again, if they don't call that in the Final Four, hard to see Purdue losing.

Rick Barnes nugget:

Barnes has been a single-digit seed in the NCAA tournament 25 times in his career, going to 28 dances in total. Yet all he has to show for it is that one Final Four from more than two decades ago and 30 total wins.

Comparatively speaking, Tom Izzo has 56 wins in 26 tournament appearances, including eight Final Fours and a national championship. John Calipari is in a similar boat with 57 wins, six Final Fours and one title in his 23 trips to the Dance.
