Not much poppin' in this thread, so I'll contribute just for the sake of it.
Willie Cauley-Stein had a terrific game. 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Played 18 minutes.

Out of the non UK rookies Stanley Johnson, Myles Turner, Mudiay, Winslow, Okafor have all looked pretty good.

Stanley Johnson was held back at Arizona. His game, more so than anyone else's, was NBA ready.......... when he is engaged and 100% focused on the task at hand. At Arizona he was allowed to take plays off. Miller occasionally took him out because of it, but not nearly enough. He's going to have a high number of appearances in the ASG. Tremendous career ahead of him.

sounds like Goodwin improved.

I saw just few highlights so i don't know if his selection has improved. However, it seems he has developed some midrange jumper and change of pace.

Not much that I've seen to be exxcited about as a Lakers fan so far. That said, it is a meaningless summer game.
Yeah a lot of currently great players struggled in summer league but of course some folks already overreacting to Russell struggles

Not sure why the Lakers played a lot of zone today. Their 2 young guards need as much experience as they can get guarding man.

I got too caught up in Mudiay's shooting woes. That dude is a player.

Towns is still having issues with fouling..albeit again, in a summer league that is not exactly an indicator of everything. He did get into foul trouble at times for UK last season playing less minutes than a guy his caliber usually would.

I've watched each of his summer league games, guys are driving right into his chest and he's struggling to defend w/o fouling. Also getting knocked back quite often in those situations. His high foul rate isn't a shock, as you mentioned, but he seems to have the instincts and athleticism to improve. Not sure if he gained 20 lbs if that would help with contact w/o negating his athleticism...

I think Justice Winslow can be a great 2 guard in this league for a long time. Guy has a big time knack for drawing fouls heading to the rim. The James Harden comparison was always a stretch but he looks like he can develop more into a true scorer than I thought. Stanley Johnson too, he is a beast. As far as cats go, WCS has looked the best so far in a small sample, then Archie, KAT, Trey, Aaron, Devin, Dakari, Andrew, Liggins, Lamb, Harrellson, Teague(MIA)
