I'm kind of a college football insider so a lot of you guys probably don't know this, but the guy who won last year wanted to play for the Huskers.

I just hope now that he’s had his shoulder surgery, that he comes back with a focus like never before. I know he’s hungry and seen all the hate us fans had for him. The man has to want to prove everyone wrong about him and I wouldn’t be surprised he doesn’t prove peeps wrong.

Two QBs from the same Houston area high school (Manvel) are sitting at 25-1. Neither will win, but crazy that both are on this list.

I guess Nebraska is more relevant than Minnie even when we're fresh off 3 losing seasons and you had your best in modern history. @TheWayITellEm

Yes. At least 247 thinks so. They think Adrian Martinez is better than Tanner Morgan. Morgan completed 66% of his passes for 3253 yards (10.2 yards/attempt) 30 TDs 7 INTs.

We return our entire O-line and all our receivers....except we do lose Tyler Johnson. Maybe that's why 247 thinks Martinez will put up bigger numbers?? Spielman should be a decent replacement though.

24/7 is going off of his true freshman preforms where he was 2nd team Freshman All American for a reason. And for the record, it’s not only 24/7.

Like most of your points, you never know what you will get from one season to the next. No one seen Minnesota going 11-2 and Tannor Morgan having the season they did and the same goes for Adrian Martinez and the Huskers and how we faired. This 2020 season could literally flip flop around and go the other way, no one truly knows.

I’ll say this much, instead of complaining to us about the attention Adrain Martinez is getting, take to 24/7 and the other sites listing Martinez up there and leaving Morgan out of it. It really means jack right now. When the season hits, things will order themselves out right. Martinez will either drop or rise and Morgan will either jump into the conversation or stay out of it.

You're wasting your time, no one cares about Minnesota and your creepy coach.

No clue if this helps or not but there is this for both QBs the last 2 seasons....

Tannor Morgan has gone:

273-428 Pass att. 63.8% 4,244 yards
96 rushing att for -11 yards 35 total TDs and 12 INTs.

Adrain Martinez has gone

373-598 pass att. 62.4% 4,573 yards
284 rushing att. 1,255 yards 42 total TDs and 17 INTs.

Now I’m not saying this makes Martinez better, but both QBs had 1 rough year and 1 solid year. This is how both QBs stats look over the last 2 seasons. MAYBE this is what they are going off of?

I don't think Husker fans hate him. If they do, they are morons.

Is there a means of shorting someone’s odds, bet that that won’t won’t the heismen

no clue, but I’ll say this much. Unless your name is Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields, then the likelihood of any other QB winning it is slim to none. All the other QBs on the list are there to make things appear interesting. Adrain Martinez could go back to his old form and take off from there and the Huskers could go 8-4 to 9-3 or even 10-2 and he’d still come no where near the Heisman trophy.

I don’t ever think he will be the starter for the full season. Luke <skywalker> McCaffery will lead us the the big 10 west title and New Years 6 bowl. Calling it now. Thank me later

thank you later, for what? If you have paid attention to any of my posts about our QB situation, then you’d know I’m pro Luke McCaffrey. But at the same time, I’m not a dumb *** who forgets what Martinez done and looked as a true freshman who didn’t play a single snap his senior year of high school football. So no, I haven’t thrown in the towel on Adrain and his immediate shoulder surgery at the very end of the season was an obvious give away on most likely why he struggled during the 2019 season.

I’ll say this, if Adrian isn’t careful, Luke McCaffrey will take that starting spot from him. So you aren’t saying anything to me that I haven’t already said myself on this message board. I think Luke McCaffrey is going to kill it for us and be a great Husker QB when his time comes. And if not, McCaffrey will kill it as a Husker WR while Logan Smothers kills it as our starting QB. ;)

I would also add Morgan has been throwing to 3 NFL receivers.

Nebraska only had 2 Big Ten caliber receivers on their roster last season. And when Wandale was hurt, Nebraska's passing game was like an 84 Chevy Citation navigating the Autobahn.

Good luck with that a Defunding stuff though. Keep a low silhouette :)
