Is it me, or does it seem like our players are playing less significant summer time games the past couple years. Maybe I'm underestimating the Hartford Pro-Am. There seems to be a deliberate pairing of players (Gibbs and Adams, Larrier and Hamilton) and I like that part. I'm sure it helps chemistry. But I'm getting the impression that competition is not to their level. In particular, it's not helping our bigs. Dom pointed out a comment by Brimah in another post that suggested there isn't similarly sized players for Amida to work against.

Did anyone attend any special camps, try out for national teams, etc... Or is the Hartford thing the extent of their summer activity.

These guys play pickup against each other every single day. Plus there are structured offseason workouts. The Pro-Am isn't even close to the "extent of their summer activity." In fact, it's probably the least important basketball activity these guys participate in during the offseason.
