So, my brother-in-law has asked me to come join him and his wife in the club level seating area for Satudary's game. Wondering would if be appropriate to wear maroon or should I wear something off color and cheer on the inside?

Any suggestions?

If you don't wear clothing that suggests that you are a State fan then they should make fun of you for being embarrassed of your team. It's a football game for crying out loud; be proud of your team and cheer for them in a non obnoxious way.

2 years ago I wore maroon up there in the endzone club level.....

you folks act like they are going to gangbang you in the bathroom. Nobody will mess with you.

On the club level itself, I thought it was awesome. The taco and hot dog buffets, and the unlimited drinks, absolutely kick ***. I didn't even watch much of the game.

Suggestion:

Stop being afraid of ridicule by those pretentious 17 bowtie-wearing, racial slur hurling, riot raising, living-in-the-past, trust fund mutha' 17ers.

JLM pretty much summed it up. Wear your maroon with pride - win or lose. Be classy no matter which way the ball bounces, you are in the black bears den remember. And Hail State!

Are you not TRUE MARON??!1!!!**

Question for knowledge: Will they take away a cowbell in the skybox area?

IF the answer is anything but yes. I'd take one.

I have always worn maroon when in the club level with my brother and once in a skybox. I was harassed in the rest room, with comments like "how the hell did you get tickets here?" but was NOT "gang banged". For the most part OM fans are just like MSU fans, quite hospitable. Sadly for both schools there are those who do not behave like adults.

The food and drinks are good, and for the most part it is enjoyable. Do expect a few comments, but no more than in the grove or anywhere else in Oxford.

Thanks guys, I was most defiantly planning on wearing maroon but just wanted to make sure no one had any horror stories. And yes I am True Maroon and Alum till the day I die! Thanks for the comments...</SPAN>

I sit in our club level, and every game there are fans from the opposing teams wearing their team colors and names. Of course, there's nothing offensive about it. Never once have I seen anyone say anything to them about it, nor have I seen them "misbehave". Pulling for their team is expected, as long as they're not obnoxious.

There's a club level policy that if you need to sell your tickets, sell it to another club level member. And don't sell them to opposing fans. But many members have relatives and friends that they'd like to sit with them, and some of those are from the other team. And that's fine. That situation is probably even more pronounced with MSU and OM since the schools are in the same state.

You should have no problems.

You wear your maroon proudly or stay home. Your brother-in-law wouldn't invite you if he didn't think you could be up there and be respectful while still obviously supporting your team.
