No, it’s not like that. I’ve been critical of Cal and this team. Concerns , frustrations, criticisms etc are WARRANTED and absolutely understandable. The problem lies in with a large handful of “fans” who literally ( check their post history) contribute about 90% negative comments and threads to this board. Bashing the ever living hell out of Cal, our players etc.
Calling for Cal to be fired (yet when asked to name even 2 feasible replacements they just ignore you/ the question.) Bashing our players saying how much they suck and how they don’t “respect the uniform”
Saying we’ve “lost our blue blood status” saying our recruiting is “awful” and “Cals best days have passed, we will never win another title”
It’s imbecillic **** like that which deserves to be called out.
I’m on cloud 9 we won. We played a hell of a game against a VERY solid top 10 team who beat the Zags easily. Neutral court and we proved tonight we can*** play with anyone in the nation IF we’re firing on all cylinders (that’s a big IF)
That being said we still have a ton of work to do and by no means am I, nor anyone else calling out the emo-negative nancies , saying we’re “final four bound!” But i think it’s safe to say the absolute absurd amount of negativity the past few weeks has proven to be misguided
Pay him no mind. I’m sure he’s “happy” we won but h a the type of fan who’s more upset that we won as he now looks absolutely ridiculous and really wanted to be “right” so he could point fingers and say “told ya so! Replace Cal!”
I was thrilled to see the CATS hang an "L" on UNCheat...but I didn't predict the CATS to get the "W" tonight...does that make me a terrible fan? Let me know...I'd like to know who I need to put on ignore...

I took 2 weeks off from the board after the lost because the sky would be falling and after one win over a foot team people struggled beating their chest. Long season to go so I would try to keep a legal head and see what happens

I don’t disagree with any of this. I suppose I haven’t really paid attention to the overly negative threads and didn’t notice the level of highly negative threads. Anyone calling for Cal to leave is uncalled for and I will call them out just as I would anyone being overly positive about everything.
I agree with the sentiment that we should always show some class. However, we all know that the legion of doom shows none when the shoe is on the other foot. So, while I agree class should be shown, I can understand completely the desire to give a little payback. Maybe the sky isn't falling after all. And who knows? Maybe this won't be an NIT team.
All sarcasm and joking aside, this was a big win for these Cats. It was a big win for the UK program and a big win for Calipari.
Lot of people acting like they were on board, but check their projections in the contest. I mean even if we should get blown out by one of our hated rivals you will never see me post that crap. Lot of backtracking now. Sunshine pumpers have this one and I don't even want to put it in the negative Nancy's faces. Just stop giving up at every bump in the road and at every drop of a dam hat. I am a Cal fan, because you see he does coach UK and I claim UK as my team. Just so you know, I didn't follow Cal before he got here and won't after he leaves, so your innuendo that I am a Cal fan and not a UK fan doesn't hold water.
Cal has been getting the job done since he got here. His resume speaks for itself. Cal NEVER calls a Timeout in that situation, right or wrong. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Do you guarantee we win if he did call a TO?
Again constructive criticism is warranted and even welcome, but when we start firing coaches and berating kids, that's over the line JMO
It's really funny how posters such as yourself can criticize this team and all is great in the world. However other posters can express the same opinion and all hell breaks loose. He's one of those that Cal talks about that try's to steal the happiness of others. Every sane UK fan I know is having a blast this season like they do almost every season. He's here because UK fans having a good time really gets under his skin. Poor guy.

Agree. I'm having a blast watching this team. Golf this afternoon and then the game. Ya gotta love it !
