yep...always someone else to blame for the mess this country is in due to his late response
But, we can all be assured that you would not have blamed him if he had ignored the advice of the WHO, right?

Here's the slippery dichotomy:

The virus is real ...

A large part of the response and the resultant policy is a work.

You'd really love to live in a world where more people understood this and accepted it as a reality, but that's not the world we live in.

For them ... it's "either/or".

That's the polarizing danger, not the microbe itself.

The fact we have people who believe that politicians, regardless of which side of the aisle they belong, act benevolently and solely for the well-being of their constituents, is proof that mental illness and "Lemming-itis" is the greatest threat to Western civ.

Naturally, I will lean towards quarantining the immunocompromised (elderly, pre-existing conditions, etc.) providing employment protection for those who want to stay home, and allow those who WANT to return to work and enjoy their liberty to do so.

The current path is riskier than the latter for the NUMEROUS calamities it will usher in. The myopic among us cannot see that. Must be a real hoot to be so purblind.

Final verdict ... our species once again disappoints.

Gov Cuomo and Destupido the Mayor said nobody was going to tell New Yorkers what to do and that was in March. Then they were blaming the President for their short comings. That's what people do, blame others for their own problems.

Hang in there buddy, Only 4 1/2 more years of Trump as President

Keep believing that myth, buddy. Corona ain't gonna away anytime soon. By the time November rolls around, unemployment rate is projected to be around 15-20%. No way a sitting President gets reelected with an unemployment rate that high, especially one with an abysmal/failed record like Trumps. Don't worry, President Biden will fix everything.

And in one fell swoop, you just described what this was all about to so many people. I didn't cast a vote for Trump, likely won't this time either, but Joe Biden is the poster boy for Alzheimer's disease and he can't even fix his own breakfast, let alone fix an economy, let alone know what state he's literally in from one day to the next.

God help this country.

People fighting to control who rules over ashes created by fear and political wrangling.

Now post something else even more buffoonish.

I have watch my patients decline since I have known some for nearly 40 years. Biden has those traits of diminished capacity to think and speak. Doesn't take an MD degree to figure it out. My guess is that there will be a problem during one of the debates.

I don't think an election at this point is even a given ... and that has NOTHING to do with "Trump declaring himself King" or any of the chutzpah you'd hear from the nightly "news".

Hell, it does not even have anything to do with Trump at all.

Never would have imagined, in my lifetime, I'd think such a thing possible, but it's a long time until November and you're gonna see things happen in the next 7 months that could change a lot of things.

Some related to the psychotic and irresponsible response to the virus and some related to things even more impactful.

Long time until November ... and this world has been changed, perhaps irreparably, in less than 2 months.

Now you have 7 more in store.

Let that marinate. Nothing is off the table anymore.

He has already participated in eleven (11) debates and performed very well. Trump, on the other hand, performed miserably in the debates against Hillary and is generally regarded as a very poor speaker. Republicans are extremely worried about the prospect of Trump losing in the Fall (consistent current polling has Trump trailing Biden in the key battleground states of Wisconsin/Michigan/Pennsylvania) and are looking for any deficiency regarding Biden in view of the fact that Biden doesn't have the negatives that Hillary had. Biden will no doubt undergo medical exams to resolve any and all doubt. Regarding Trump, it would be nice to know when and if he's ever to disclose his tax returns. Every other candidate for the Presidency has done so, it makes one wonder what he's hiding.

Trump participated in one that was poor and then when the playing field was leveled with impartial moderators and no teleprompter it went well, really well. I can't believe after 2016 anyone would trust a poll because they all had Hillary winning in a landslide, however we know what really happened.

Is it required by law? If not, maybe the others were just a bunch of pussies. FYI, Trump has problems, Biden has mental capacity problems that's very evident by listening to him. Who sucks on his wife's finger while on stage?

I to want to see full stadiums this fall. The argument of comparing COVID 19 to the flu is ridiculous. The flu has a vaccine and treatment options. People are not hiding in their homes during flu seasons. COVID has no vaccine, is more contagious, no proven treatment options and everyone is hibernating. Even if we have a season, attendance will be down dramatically. We are all comparing apples to oranges. The steps we have and will take will save hundreds of thousands of lives. It's just where we are.
A lot of Doctors, treating thousands of patients World Wide with hydroxychloroquine, zythromycin, and zinc are (and have been) having quite good success treating the virus, especially when beginning at the early stages of infection. Several reports of such success are available to be read. Some articles in peer reviewed, medical literature are either already published or will be very soon. Drugs are safely used and have been for decades. Problem is they have not passed ALAL the tests mandated by the purists and rigorous advocates for form, conformity, and 'following the book'. They just save lives and that, apparently, is not reason enough to be enthusiastic about advocating use. Oh, and hydroxychloroquine is CHEAP (pennies not hundreds of dollars. Far less incentive for Drs and pharmaceutical companies to spend millions on an ad campaign. Far easier to have the media torpedo this treatment on no solid grounds while they wait for a much more expensive, and fancier anti-body based fregimen to be 'proven' (while hundreds, thousands, or more die who might just have survived through the use of this cheap alternative.)

I’m not taking a side on who should win because they are all generally disgusting human beings. You have to have that trait to be hungry for power. However, Trump will chew Biden up and spit him out in a debate. Great theatre for me because I think you are all crazy for politicizing everything and really don’t give a **** who wins. We are all screwed regardless.

said the president of the united states:

Feb. 10: “Now, the virus that we’re talking about having to do — you know, a lot of people think that goes away in April with the heat — as the heat comes in. Typically, that will go away in April. We’re in great shape though. We have 12 cases — 11 cases, and many of them are in good shape now.” — Trump at the White House. (See our item “Will the New Coronavirus ‘Go Away’ in April?“)

So he isn't supposed to listen to medical experts who told him that or he is? I'm confused or are you just trying to manipulate the truth to get your pound of flesh

Actually I will bet most those who are jumping all over the Hydroxychloroquine cocktail are not ID physicians I can give you the names of at least a dozen ID physicians who believe if hydroxychloroquine has any benefit in the treatment of Covid-19 its to be used as a prophylaxis. Now there are two drugs that are so far showing promise for treatment one is remedesivir and the other Tocilizumab but again need actually controlled studies to know one way or the other if its effective

Living in oil and natural gas country, every time I see a tanker go by the house I feel good knowing people are working. I've seen a lot of that until just recently. Being in entertainment based businesses in the past I needed people to have money.

Is it required by law? No. Its all about something called transparency and the public's right to know. Most reasonable people feel that if you're running for the highest office in the land that everything you do should be open for public inspection, the taxpayers should have a right to know, for example, if you have holdings or debt in foreign countries. If you're of the opinion that a candidate for President who has decided to be forthright and honest with the US taxpayers when there is no law compelling them to do so..... should be labeled as "pussies".... that's your right to have that belief.

which medical experts told him that it will go away in April?

here's some other quotes...feel free to pound away at these:

Trump quotes in chronogical order.

January 22: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.”

February 2: “We pretty much shut it down coming in from China.”

February 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA… Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”

February 25: “CDC and my Administration are doing a GREAT job of handling Coronavirus.”

February 25: “I think that's a problem that’s going to go away… They have studied it. They know very much. In fact, we’re very close to a vaccine.”

February 26: “The 15 (cases in the US) within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”

February 26: “We're going very substantially down, not up.”

February 27: “One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”

February 28: “We're ordering a lot of supplies. We're ordering a lot of, uh, elements that frankly we wouldn't be ordering unless it was something like this. But we're ordering a lot of different elements of medical.”

March 2: “You take a solid flu vaccine, you don't think that could have an impact, or much of an impact, on corona?”

March 2: “A lot of things are happening, a lot of very exciting things are happening and they’re happening very rapidly.”

March 4: “If we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work — some of them go to work, but they get better.”

March 5: “I NEVER said people that are feeling sick should go to work.”

March 5: “The United States… has, as of now, only 129 cases… and 11 deaths. We are working very hard to keep these numbers as low as possible!”

March 6: “I think we’re doing a really good job in this country at keeping it down… a tremendous job at keeping it down.”

March 6: “Anybody right now, and yesterday, anybody that needs a test gets a test. They’re there. And the tests are beautiful…. the tests are all perfect like the letter was perfect. The transcription was perfect. Right? This was not as perfect as that but pretty good.”

March 6: “I like this stuff. I really get it. People are surprised that I understand it… Every one of these doctors said, ‘How do you know so much about this?’ Maybe I have a natural ability. Maybe I should have done that instead of running for president.”

March 6: “I don't need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn't our fault.”

March 8: “We have a perfectly coordinated and fine tuned plan at the White House for our attack on CoronaVirus.”

March 9: “This blindsided the world.”

March 13: “I DON’T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AT ALL”

March 16: "The corona virus is not under control." - “We have a problem that, a month ago, nobody thought about.”

What you can do to prevent threads from popping back to the top everytime someone adds a response is go to the main Blue Lot page, go to the gold/yellow bar and click on “start date” so that a downward arrow appears to its right. This places and keeps all threads in chronological order and threads from 3 weeks ago won’t pop to the top simply because someone replied today.
Suddenly “Stupid is forever” is off page 1. Can help clear some of the clutter.

ew York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he won’t approve a “shelter-in-place” order for New York City, a day after Mayor Bill de Blasio told residents to prepare for one.

“That is not going to happen, shelter in place, for New York City,” Cuomo said on The Daily podcast by The New York Times. “For any city or county to take an emergency action, the state has to approve it. And I wouldn’t approve shelter in place.”

Cuomo said that such drastic policies would create more fear amid the COVID-19 outbreak, which has now infected more than 6,500 people across the U.S. and killed at least 115, according to Johns Hopkins University. With 1,717 confirmed infections, New York state has more cases than any other state in the country. However, Cuomo has said the true number is likely much higher due to limited testing capacity and stringent federal guidelines over who’s eligible for diagnostic testing.

“Quarantine in place, you can’t leave your home,” Cuomo said. “The fear, the panic is a bigger problem than the virus.”

This was March 13th. CNBC.

Gov. Cuomo started preparing the state of NY for this outbreak back in January. He ordered stay at home as it would be nearly impossible to order shelter in place...especially in NYC. If you watch is press conferences, he shows leadership and compassion.

Trump's press conferences are about assigning blame and covering his *** for disregarding this virus as a democratic hoax.

He's an ***. Kept complaining about not enough beds or ventilators. Anybody with half a brain knows that you would never need that many ventilators. They aren't disposable. Asked for 30,000 and needed 5,000.
