Bandys was unlike any team we played all year. Their offense was so different to prepare for
Your QB is small and shifty like a lite version of Lynch from Lincolnton. Your line is big but slow. If y'all pass its very quick timed passes. Faster def lines can beat your line . Just can't let them get hands locked on u. Y'all pull a lot to try to seal corner for outside QB runs. Also pull to seal holes for RB inside gaps. Y'all's team does Block well at wr position. Home defense y'all tackle well. But ur big def tackle #68 has no impact unless play runs straight at him. #4 I haven't seen him impact game unless play comes to his side. Number 55 does get penetration but not the quickest guy. You'll seem to cover short passes well but it's been like some trouble with a deeper ones. One big issue I see y'all have two 300 lb kids playing both ways that's going to be a downfall in a game that goes back and forth they are going to wear down. They'll keep in mind this is off one game I've watched.

I can see a AC guy or 2 coming to Hibriten but thats the first I've heard of them coming over. Its always West players and maybe a South or 2 that I hear bout on these boards. Kids just wanting to be were the scouts are the good coaches are and the tallent is. Always seems to be that way and we used to rag all over the boards bout Independence doing this back in the Tom Knotts days. I mean come on, you think all that raw tallent and kids playing for 8 titles in a row lived in Mint Hill?? No way!!

I don't think your take was bad. I would not under estimate #68. His presence is felt more against the run than someone like Bandy's. The secondary has been beat up (2) times this year, Bandy's and Shelby but they also had 18 interceptions coming in to the game against Bandy's which was top 5 in the state. #4 makes his presence on offense.
The strength of the team is IQ and athleticism at key positions but they are very thin. An injury to one of those key guys would be critical.
I actually think it’s a solid breakdown. The truth is, our team is tough to analyze right now because we’re so young and still growing into a legitimate contender. We’ve got a first-time head coach who’s learning on the fly every single week—and honestly doing a fantastic job with it—paired with a roster full of guys who have never been in this position before.
Compared to an established powerhouse like Hibritten that already knows exactly who they are, we’re still figuring out our identity. One drive we’re spreading the field five-wide empty, the next we’re under center in Wildcat power. We’re not the same team we were in week one, and we’re not even the same team that played Shelby, Burns, or Lincolnton either.
What I’ll say is this playoff run means everything to these kids. These are the same players who, just a year ago, were being dismissed, trash-talked, and negatively recruited against. They’re not ready to be finished proving the doubters wrong.

Definitely not saying you missed. We were down 7 going to the 4th against Shelby and tied with Burns going to the 4th and got outscored 14-0 in both games. So you were correct we got wore down in those games. Haven’t really been in a back and forth game since. We have about 5-6 guy playing in some capacity both ways and about 8-10 guys we don’t have a real replacement for.
I think you were spot on about some things, but Bandys is unlike any team we played with what they tried to do.
I will say kinda true y'all are bigger than us in player size but difference I believe is miniscule besides #71. Our center is just as big as #68 our guards are as big as #55. Our DE's about 2 inches shorter maybe a couple pounds lighter. Our def nose guard is probably same size as #68. Overall difference couple pounds but for a couple inches but nothing major.
We did well from about 2016-2020. Last realignment was tough but we have been a competitive program most years the last 20 years.

Went through and watched the Maiden tape. Other than the RB they are pretty damn slow up front as well. Must be nice to have bad scheme and just be able to hand the ball off to a RB all day!

Nobody with a bad scheme is still playing in the 3rd round.
Is our Head Coach's bad scheme...that he's used at Maiden since 2016, the reason his record is 90-29 (75.6%)?
Hand it to the RB all day? Is that why we've passed for more yards and thrown more TDs vs our rushing YDs/TDs?
I can understand why you wouldn't like, nor agree with, someone's assessment (an honest assessment only based off of 1 game), what I don't understand is you taking it personally. I mean, someone did ask him for his take on it.
Cheer up buttercup, you worry about you tonight, we'll worry about us tonight, and if we meet, it'll get settled on the field. Until then, if you're going to "snap back" at least make it logical...not whatever that emotional gum flapping was I just read.

Just admit that I gave an honest review of what Maiden wants to do on offense buddy! Maiden couldn't take the pressure of a Gaston county schedule.
I'm looking for all those Gaston county teams that give all that schedule pressure. Speaking of Maiden, looks like they play a rather pressured schedule. They've got a big 1 strength of schedule. Where's your team on this list? Rhetorical question of course.
We're Maiden...we've always wanted to run the ball...still do. We'll take what the defense gives us though.
