Not surprised by the win. Burns put up 38 on them so I knew Crest would light it up. On a positive note, Burns scored on Huss. 10-6 with 2 min left in the half and then center goes down and we fumble 6 snaps, all turnovers and one in the end zone for a Huss TD. Wonder why I had Huss losing to Crest next week? Remember, you heard it here first.

What's up with the Crest kicker? Heard he was going to a school up north. How good is he? How about Crest fans only respond....

He's going to Toledo. He has a pretty good leg. He is a good soccer player too. He consistently puts it in the end zone on kickoffs. He punts too but I don't think he is that great of a punter. Overall he's a solid kicker. Definitely a weapon for our special teams.

I finally got out and sat in the cold for this one. Crest kicker reminds me on the kicker from the replacements. Small and "wiry" but kicks it a mile. In warm ups he was kicking 50 or 55 with at least 10 maybe 15 more to go. Was hoping to see him try one from that far during the game.

Evan Davis is a great kicker....made a HUGE KICK in a playoff game in 2015 as a freshman to help win the game that allowed Crest to advance and eventually win a state title. He will always be a Crest hero for nothing more than making that kick - 42 yds as a freshman. The Iceman...say no more. He’s also a really good soccer player, but even a better person. He did some outreach in the community as a fund raiser for pediatric cancer as well. Can’t go wrong with Evan Davis...great kid, great work ethic, great potential....underrated with limited opportunities for whatever reason. Wishing Evan the best.

Thanks for the kind words about Evan. He’s always been a hard worker, but it’s also been a tough haul doing soccer & football during the same season, but he is used to it.

Wish he would have had some chances for deep FGs this season as well. Even if you miss from 50+ it’s still a touchback! He is just three FGs shy of tying Alex Trejo’s school record of 31.

He will be enrolling at Toledo in January right after playing in the Polynesian Bowl in Hawaii. That should be a fun trip for him! The currrent Toledo kicker is a senior (all-time scoring leader), so Evan will have huge shoes to fill. Enrolling early should help a ton!
