LJS Sipple article - "But Devin's going to help you win games," Strohmeier said. "He does everything right. He does his assignment; he's not going to blow it. And when he has to make plays, he'll be there to make them. The kid just wants to help you win."

Seems like the kind of kid you want on your team. Smart, hardworking, little to no drama. Just put his head down and got to work. Hoping he finds success here

Now get that young man from Alabama who got stuck behind the starters, who would start at most other colleges. I think a lot of posters here will soon forget who we lost in the portal this year. Welcome to new landscape of college football, now schools just like the NFL can flip the switch on their programs by adding free agents.

My thoughts exactly. It's always nice to add guys like this to your roster.

Reminds me of Pierre Allen's story. Barry Turner breaks his leg and folks are concerned about the position. Allen comes in as a RS frosh and proceeds to provide steady play for four years. If all of the players on the field are at the level of a Drew, Pierre Allen or better, that how you win 9 or more games.

I really liked that front four in 2009.

Played smart too.

Wynn is the guy you want. No telling how good he is. Bama is absolutely loaded at the DL position so he no doubt has ability.

There are a lot of solid players who get stuck behind stars, these solid players don't want to sit behind them just to play a few snaps a game. Stephon Wynn is a player who wants to be a top dog but he can't do it this year at Alabama because of the log jam. Stephon Wynn was listed behind D J Dale and listed as OR behind Tim Smith.

You add Wynn and we are looking great in the middle and with Mathis and Drew our DL takes on a whole new look.

This is what Alabama looks like post spring.
Defensive End – Senior, Justin Eboigbe; backups Junior Jamil Burroughs and Redshirt Freshman, Damon Payne
Defensive End – Junior, Byron Young; backups, Redshirt Freshman, Monkell Goodwine and Redshirt Sophomore, Jah-Marien Latham
Nose Guard – Senior, DJ Dale; backups Junior, Tim Smith and Junior, Jamil Burroughs
