Uhh dude, I havnt been there before. I'm 25 years old, and my first Husker memories are watching Jammal Lord play. I havn't experienced a victory equivalent to what Saturday could be. Closest thing I've seen would be our Missouri win in 2010 or Michigan State in 2015.
THIS!!! My kids (mid 20’s) ask me every year why I’m such a big Husker fan while not being a graduate of the university? They have not seen them accomplish anything of significance in their lifetime. Then I act like an old grandpa and tell them the stories of the good old days.

Oh, and yes - they would storm the field. They have NEVER been there before.

I was born in 86 so yes I have been witness to some great teams! I was 10 though and had no idea how rare those moments would come to be! So in my opinion "been there" from a fan perspective, you'd have to be born in the early 70s to thoroughly enjoy those moments!

Idk how I feel about storming the field yet. I sit 20 rows up and would have a hard time not storming if we pull out the w! We've had 1 winning season in the last 4! Either way, just win baby!

We're an unranked team coming off back to back 4-8 seasons, of course we rush the field. Looks like 50% of you need to wake up and realize what Nebraska is right now.

Very good point. I was in my late teens and I still really can't say I appreciate it or remember it as I should.

If it helps the recruits get even more crazy about this place, than storm the field, bring down the goalpost, go crazy folks. Otherwise, don't worry about it.

The problem is not a student on campus has "been there before" we have sucked for 20 years. Half the people in the stands haven't been there before or hardly remember Nebraska being great. We are 4- 24 vs top 10 team since 2000. It is has been a looooong time since we have, "been there".
This is why many fan-bases hate Nebraska, our arrogance and view that we are somehow better than all others, even though we have done nothing in over 20 years. We get back to a top level team again, winning conf and NC we have the right to be arrogant *** holes and I will happily be one of them.
I agree with 99% of other teams even maybe if we beat another top 5 team, we shouldn't storm the field. Like when we beat iowa this year, not even close to storm the field worthy. Even a Wisc win I don't think is storm the field worth. When we beat #6 Mich St a few year I don't believe we even did. A team like Ohio St, I think would be. Clemson, Alabama would probably be the only other worthy teams.
This would be one of the biggest wins over the last 20 years. Not only in the fact we actually beat a top 10 team but the fact that there is proof the rebuild is working. This win would not only give confidence to the players, coaches and team but to the whole fanbase as well. If there was ever a time to be overly excited about a win this would be the one.
Uh Iowa’s no.14 & Wis is no.9. He’ll yes we storm the field if we somehow upset either of those teams!

Good point. The freshmen at Nebraska this fall have no concept of Nebraska being a national power in football. As far as they know, the Cornhuskers have always sucked.

And storming the field is a student thing. There shouldn't be 50 year old guys out there trying to tear down goal posts. If the students want to do it, then let them do it. It's their university.
The freshman have no concept of us being good. The sophomores, juniors, seniors, 5th year students, etc, etc.

Pretty much nobody on campus but the longtime professors.

50 year old guys are great for tearing down goal posts, they can put a lot of leverage on them, if the students can just get them low enough to reach

I was part of the crowd that stormed the field in 1978 when we beat OU.

Hell yes we should storm the field.

Too bad the chances of us winning are probably less than 10%

I was also at that 78 game (freshman year at UNL) although I just watched the storming from the south stadium. But I would say that a victory over Ohio State would be storm worthy based upon our last twenty years.

I don't think that any other game this year is storm-worthy tho.

That was my sophomore year, although I did not attend UNL. I came home for that game. My dad had season tickets and my mom gave me her ticket. We were in the West stadium around the 35 yard line. As those last 50 seconds or so were ticking off I left my dad behind and ran down to the sideline. My dad was a little miffed at such foolishness but he let it go. My only regret is that I did not follow the crowd carrying the goal post downtown to O street. Instead, my dad and I went for beers.

I remember being euphoric that day. The next Saturday I slit my wrists. Lol

That is my stance. Sorry, but a P5 beating a P5 regular season isn't storm the field worthy imo.

However I do find it funny that we stormed Colorado's field once, though I don't personally remember it.

Also if we win I won't really give a **** what we do.

Yes, well, in this instance it would be an EPIC upset.

I was at that game also. All I remember of it is that Rick Berns ran 80 or so yards for a touchdown on the first play and we lost.

The people who have been there before are too old and out of shape now to storm the field.
BS! I was there in1978 vs OU, I know I can get to at least the sideline before I break my leg or have a heart attack!

And if Nebraska somehow beats Ohio State, I will have a heart attack.
