That team was cheated they should been #6 seed poor Wichita State went 35-0 and was forced to play us as a wrongly seeded #8 seed. That team didn't "barely" make it either they were the #29 overall the top #8 seed you have to get to about seed #43 overall to even go to Dayton.

How many crazy miracle shots did that team make in the tournament?

That run should have ended in the 2nd round.

Then, Louisville somehow allowed us to come back and win, then there was the Michigan and Wisconsin finishes.

That’s a once in a lifetime run, nobody should ever believe that will happen again.

Was gonna start a thread about this topic as it’s similar related ( C Mills ) — on the pre game Sat . Cameron and his buddy were pumping what a tremendous job Cal had done handling Wheeler, and what a great guy Wheeler was for accepting his role , and just lavishing praise on Cal … all damn week I was optimistic, but then I heard these dudes and it was like a slap in the face and I woke up to the reality how badly coached we are , and how capable Cal is screwing up the player rotations and my optimism was like …. Vaporized . May sound dumb but listening to UK guys just praising Cal was offsetting to me .
Guess you know the rest of the story . Cal plays terrible player rotations , we lose . Does UK pay mills ?? He sure is being a hard core company man

Exactly! Aaron Harrison morphed into Steph Curry! Aaron couldn’t save Cow the following season against Wisky!

The narrative is getting so much better-

There’s light at the end of the tunnel, though, says Barnhart (12/19/22)

“There are growing pains and we’re going through that, nights when the ball is not going in the hole,” he said. “The game against Michigan State, stubbed our toe down the stretch, couldn’t finish that one. The Gonzaga game, just didn’t have a very good night that night. And then the UCLA game, obviously we just really struggled to shoot the ball. We had a lot of open looks, a lot of open looks, and just couldn’t get them to go down. That’s a little unusual for this team, they’re pretty good shooters. You’ve got some folks who can do that."

Not a quote- but I could see this being added now, Missouri- they just caught us off guard, we struggled to defend, S. Carolina, We couldn't stop their three point shooters....they never shoot that good from deep, total anomoly, Alabama? Another fluke, Kansas? Well we could have won that game. Ball just didn't bounce right for us. I have complete confidence that the ball will start bouncing our way. We have the tools, we have all the pieces, just a matter of time.

Both 2014 and 2015 were once in a lifetime runs in completely different ways. That's what makes our inability to close either season out with a title that much harder to swallow. If Cal gets a title in one of those years then he would be feeling 75% less heat right now.

I get the respect. Really do. He is going to have issues far too soon in life. He is not just a little overweight.
And that’s on him. I just don’t know why a person’s appearance makes them a target because he posted something that people on here don’t like. That’s low

That team had 5 McDonald’s all Americans, and a nba all star in Julius randle, this Kentucky team doesn’t have anywhere close to the talent that team had

Then lost to what maybe a 7 seed. Most of Cal’s most disappointing tourney losses, UK was the favorite

Well he said his brain is getting too fat, therefore impacting his critical thinking abilities. It wasn’t that bad of a comment. Cameron’s Tweet does make one wonder where he is coming from.

We maybe have a Dakari, Poythress, and James young ….

We do not have anywhere close to a Randal, 2 Harrisons, WCS

So the 3 worse players in that group equate to comparisons to our 3 beat on this group.

The Harrison’s take a lot of unnecessary flak but they were 6’6 dogs that shot respectable from deep and could bully their way into the paint and finish through contact. All while drawing 10+ freethrows a game knocking down 75+% of them. Hey take heat for 2015 shot clock violations but that’s 70-80% on Cal forcing the stall ball wait till the under 5 shot clock to go. It’s awful strategy.
