The Greg 2.0 thing is extra funny today, given how many times he went for two after TDs.
Funny isn’t the right word but he’s been a fraud his whole career. Finished near the top of the BE twenty years ago only because VT, BC and Miami left.

No one’s leaving this conference so mediocrity is his ceiling. Most years it won’t even be that.

Guy is such a fraud as a coach. Very good man, but an absolute embarrassment on the sidelines

I don't understand. How did he develop our players from the '04-'06 seasons that made our program legitimate? We had less going for us then than we do now.

One 1 big game win with many NFL guys and still never beat any of those 3 or WVU either. Several of the BE replacement teams made BCS bowl game too but his high water mark was the Texas Bowl. BFD.

Guy is CFB nobody who Hobbs hired to appease the clueless fans and boosters. In this conference he’s a 2 ton anchor pulling a rowboat to the bottom. And in 3 weeks Row the Boat will boatrace him too and these next six years will be putrid. The best we can hope for is his *** getting fired after five.

Rutgers only chops at their opponents kneecaps in victory formation
And what is every tushpush? Stop that nonsense. If the pros have all agreed to not do that in one-score games, fine. But there is no such gentleman agreement in college.

Different assistants. It is Always about the coaches. These are older tenets and need to be properly developed. They can't teach themselves to learn the gsme

When you’re chopping a tree for 5 years and haven’t gotten the results you’ve wanted..any sane person would stop chopping and change their ax.

Rutgers needs to change their ax.

#firegreg
might need to change the ax but won;t get rid of the handle
Schiano signed a contract extension in December of 2023 that will keep him at the helm of the Scarlet Knights through the 2030 season..
You did know that , didn't you? But you're not alone in asking for a better HC to run the program

Now try to tell me you think Rutgers will pay the buyout .
Starting threads like you hope something will happen might seem like a good idea, but since Greg is staying, despite your wishes, the best hope is he will bring in an OC that can make the O the type that can put points on the scoreboard .

I did know that. Which is why I stated a separate thread. We still owe Greg thru 2030…if he truly loves Rutgers..maybe best for him and the school if he transitions to AD??? Alumni seem to love him. Donors and BOG have his back..but football success just isn’t there. I think he’d be a very good AD.

It's just trolling...this is like the greatest day in these people's lives since the 2010 season

this will prove to be the single most ‘buyers remorse’ contract catastrophe in the history of CFB, worse than Brady Hoke and Gerry Faust due to its length. The farce didn’t deserve an extra 2 minutes, let alone 2 years. And the initial 8 years was a predictable disaster in its own right

I agree. He is all about systems and accountability... I dread how his coaches would take his micromanaging as AD however.
I think we need..

I wish I could like this twice. That's actually a really spot on analogy. Stubbornly doing something that doesn't work, over and over, doesn't make you determined. It makes you an idiot.

Schiano probably truly loves Rutgers , but also probably has the type of ego that refuses to think he won't be able to make RU FB one of the best in the B1G .
I don't see him turning over the HC position to someone else so he can become RU's AD and pray Rutgers doesn't add AD to his responsibilities..
Greg , in my opinion, would emphasis football to the determent of the other RU sports programs.
Sort of like what Bob Mulcahy did when he felt to make Rutgers athletics better making the football program better was the first step and the money went there first then funding the others sufficiently to make them winners would come later after the football program became a top program.
Bob had the right idea, because making RU FB a good program made the B1G feel RU was worthy of an invite, but the other RU athletic programs suffered and their facilities suffered the most .

Exactly right. Chimp-IQ. And not just your average, every day chimp. Low IQ chimp.

Shelby has known this ever since the Leonard Leap game at Illinois when the idiot won the OT toss and opted to get the ball first.

GS reminds me of February, the coldest month of the year, you know it’s coming you know what to expect you know you don’t like it but you hope one just one year February will be better, after awhile you come to realize it will never change.

Idiots never do. Shelby’s dog will never understand why it’s darker at his 7pm dinner time in winter than in summer. Let’s start calling Schiano “Rex”, named after Shelby’s clueless dog.

Players love him so there is that…..which will continue to help recruiting.
As far Coaching on the field he is a dunce. We will only beat the likes of Indiana and MSU when they are down. That’s it. 4 or 5 wins is our ceiling.

Which is why his first OOC inquiries are on Wagner’s availability (because DIII wins wouldn’t count toward bowl eligibility).

Stop he’s the only clown who does that. For someone who loves to use injuries as excuses you would think he would realize he’s going to get some kid really hurt with that bush league antics.
