For him (and Collins), it wasn't the dollar amount of NIL we offered, it was that it was potential earnings, not a concrete number, which we refused to give them. And that they had to sign over their NIL license to JMI. Both of those players could have went outside JMI to secure their own NIL deals, but again, there is no guarantee dollar amount when you do it that way outside of the small portion of both offers that came from the basketball team's Rev share portion. Neither of those two were on Pope, he got them to the table. Now Kinney, Rippey, Holt, and Taylor were on Pope because he couldn't/wouldn't promise them starting spots and minutes due to having Lowe, Chandler, and Moreno in front of them respectively. You can solidly lay those at Pope and the staff's feet for not committing to recruit over the guys currently on the roster. It's not always JMI, it's not always Pope can't recruit, it's not always promised minutes, but the combination is killing us with top level talent guys currently.

My dad’s mindset as far as the white house stuff and people who stock up on ammo and guns all that.. he laughs at them. Says they will never do anything. That’s the pu ssy mindset a lot of ppl have. I try to tell him there’s tons of people willing to ride for the cause. Just because he isn’t willing doesn’t apply to the millions that are.

Just need the first one to make a move then others will follow suit.

It’s tough when it feels like they don’t care for sure. It’s professional basketball now anyway and it’s going to get worse I believe. Before long we’ll have players transferring midseason to form super teams like the NBA. They have destroyed the purity of the game and I sure miss it. I’ll still live and die with every dribble until I die though.
