What? Is that a joke?
Well then you are in for a rude awakening
Yaxel was top 5 player in America this year . Good lord
This Yaxel was a senior and 23 years old, and in years past there’s no way in hell he’s a first team AA averaging 15-7. Was comparing to him when he was a freshman.

Did you not watch the video or is this just criticism about the nature of most highlight videos? There is some ball handling and a bit of defense on display as well. The OP said he had not seen him in action so I pointed him to something at least.
Yes.i watched the video. All he did was drive and dunk. Not criticism, sarcasm. Apparently 47 of his 50 top plays were dunks.

He's a lot like Yaxel was for Michigan. Not quite as big (6'9 245 vs 6'7 225) but a big powerful wing who can grab the rebound and lead you in transition like a point forward, hit a 3 to keep the defense honest, and even get you an Oweh level pick 6 by defending the passing lanes. He can effect the game by getting you 20, by playing good defense, or being the guy the offense runs through. There were plenty of games Yaxel had where he wasn't the leading scorer but he touched everything and everything went thru him if Caddue had a rough time of it. Stokes fits that mold. So I guess if youre comparing NBA players, very LeBron in how he will do whatever you need as opposed to being one-dimensional.

Im more curious to see him in a college weight room. Hes not small by any means at 225lbs at 6'7, but imagine once he hits the weights and meal plan. Probably be a trim yet powerful 235 by season opening. Going to be an absolute force.

I think people are gonna be surprised by Stokes' size. Even now as just a high schooler, he's a hoss. Man among boys.

Exactly and hes not even been in a college weigh program. It's funny because as big as he is, hes small looking to how hes going to end up. He's going to have a Blake Griffin build once hes been in the league for a few years. I seem him looking like sophomore PJ Washington (at minimum) both physically and production-wisd for us if we get him.

Are you just randomly naming past 6’8” all star forwards?

Because Pippen is quite different from the other two. He can’t be like all three.
Tatum is the best comparison, he has several similarities with Pippen and Carmelo but has parts of each of their games.

KK never truly a got a shot in the league, every time he got decent minutes, he produced!
He's an inefficient, high usage, defensive liability who isn't that willing to share the ball.
Kinda similar issues that Archie Goodwin had with sticking in the league honestly.
Having said that, he still should be at the end of someone's bench and not the G-League

I’ll admit that I’ve not yet see Stokes play, but I fail to see how he could be like both Pippen and Carmelo.

One was most famous for his defense, the other was a pure scorer famous only for offense (and lack of defense). One liked to play like a playmaker/distributor on offense, the other liked to post up and shoot every chance he could. They were really VERY different types of all star forwards.

if a prospect did have both Pippen’s defense and Carmelo’s offense, he’d be in the conversation as the best prospect of all time (akin to young LeBron). I know Stokes is good, but I doubt that he’s THAT good.

In my unprofessional, slightly informed opinion… as far as former Cats go he kinda reminds me of Julius Randle at that same stage. But the difference is Stokes has a better handle and is a bit more mobile but he’s not quite the bull in a china shop/rebounder than Randle was at the same stage.

We desperately need him, for a multitude of reasons.
