Is there one in/around Starkville. My 20 year old weed ester finally ate the dust for the last time today. Ive put more money into if the last few years than I should have, but it’s sentimental at this point.
My shop has 0 in and has no clue when they will get any. Headed to Stark tomorrow from the coast. Anyone know of a dealer around Starkville I can pick one up or one on the way?

Powerstroke Equipment near McKee Park in Starkville. Good shop. I’ve had blower & weed eater serviced there.

East MS Lumber on Russell St is a dealer. Most Stihl dealers price their stuff at same price level so as far as saving money doesn't matter where you buy. Stihl doesn't sell on Amazon or in big box stores either to protect their dealer network so that's why the price is the price usually

Evergreen ag in Mathiston is division of Starkville Co-op, so I imagine Co-op is too.

Not sure where on the coast you're coming from but there are two Stihl dealers on Hwy. 49. One in Gulfport (Sun South John Deere) and one in McHenry (McDaniels).
Also, Sun South has a dealership in Meridian on the service road next to I-59N.

Two dealers in Hattiesburg when you are passing through. PowerHouse Tools and Allbritton Chainsaw. AB is right off 49.

Some unsolicited advice. Buy a Stihl Kombi System then get the weed eater attachment. Have them replace the regular head with one of those that you cut off two pieces of line and place in the slots. Get the heavy black line or the precut heavy gray line with teeth. I can do all my weed eating without “bumping” and only replace it every other cutting.
Getting the Kombi System allows you to buy attachments instead of maintaining several different items with separate engines.

Get that ish outta here

I have both and the Echo stuff just won't die. My Echo weed eater is on its 16th season with zero repairs or maintenance done. I literally just fill it with gas/oil and it cranks on the second pull every time. Even after sitting up all winter. Many of those years were using it on 3+ acre properties and also in a commercial capacity for a few seasons. My Echo backpack blower is on its 13th season and same story. My Stihl chainsaw is fine but finicky at times. Also have a Stihl backpack Mosquito fogger and it works fine, but it's only a couple years old and I've had to engineer some minor fixes to keep it working properly.
