I know Boston has been frustrating, but I really think he is growing and just needs another year. He is a really skinny kid and you can tell he struggles with contact. I know it is probably just lip service and he is gone, but man I would love to see a Soph Boston. For all his struggles I think he could have a PJ-like jump next year, not Brooks. I like Brooks, but BJ has the potential to go off if he comes back.

again, alot of posturing coming from the program at the end of a failed season.

feed the fans what they want to hear to cushion the blow that is about to come.

If he leaves it doesn't cushion anything for me. The only way this means anything as far as I am concerned is if he returns. I don't really expect him to so if he did I would be happily surprised.

Boston is a bad college basketball player period. One good game against a terrible team doesn’t change anything. The number of shots he takes to get his empty points & his tendency to get abused on defense are a major reason this team sucks.

ONE good game ? Have we been watching the same BJ Boston for the last month, month and a half ? because he has really come on, he has taken better shots, cut down on TO's, actually hitting 3s at a really good clip, rebounding and getting 2/3 steals a game. What i am saying is, he is contributing in all faucets of the game. Even if he has a bad shooting night, he makes up with hustle plays and intangible stats.
Just admit it, you are disappointed he didn't turn out as projected (and that is ok), but you just can't stand the kid, whether it be his subpar year, or because YOU feel he is responsible for Allen not playing. But do not just throw BS stuff on the wall to see if it will stick. ONE good game, lol.

Now on a positive note, if we get the production we got out of Mintz, Jackson, and BOSTON, and Sarr is just average and Brooks and Toppin can contribute positive games, we will be a serious problem in the SEC Tournament. We almost beat Bama, and Arkansas, and did beat UT, UF and LSU before we showed signs of gelling. Fans can be negative all they want (that is their perogative if they so choose), but I will look at the positive and they improved play recently and cheer them on. I have no other choice, It is in my blood.

I just question alot of information coming out

A tweet about Boston breaking down film and developing players is priority number one, previously its Allen lighting it up in practice

pablum for the masses.

His last 10 games he is 22/50 from 3 which is 44%. He has his % up to 31% for the year. Keep in mind his horrible start, for a while he was below 20%. Once again, he has really improved and was not just ONE game.

Since SEC play started he is 25/67 from 3s, good for 38%. Once again, not just ONE game.

Before SEC play from 3 5/32 = 16%
During SEC play from 3 25/67 = 38%

Not elite, but he is a TYPICAL freshman (and that is OK), normally stat lines of 12 PPG / 4.5 RPG / 1.5 APG / 1.5 Steals per game would be very acceptable. But for some reason a majority of the fan base doesn't agree. He has been a very solid kid, especially with the struggles he has gone thru. You could not ask for a better attitude from a player. He has not once hung his head, pouted, bitched or complained. He rolls up his sleeves, goes to work, gives it all he has got, and tries his best to help the team win. There has not been ONE time you can show me where we had to question his effort, attitude, or heart.

Will also address the One good game against a terrible team. BJ played really good against several of our tougher opponents, he did struggle both games v/s Bama and UT, but who didn't.

Morehead St. (tourney team / 1st game) 15 /7 (7/14 FG)
Richmond (preseason top 25) 20/10/2 (8/17 FG)
Kansas 12/6/2 steals (4/9FG / 4/4 FT) Not a great game, but solid all around and didn't force shots. We only scored 62, he was the leading scorer (tie w/ Mintz) and 2nd in rebounding. (Jackson w/12 lead)

UNC 15/7/2 (5/11FG)
@Louisville 11/7/2/1 steal (3/11 FG 5/5 FT) We only scored 59, he and Mintz combined for over half, only 2 in DD's.
@Florida 13/4/2/4 steals (3/8 FG / 6/6 FT) solid on both ends, didn't force it.
LSU 18/6/3 5/10 (5/10 2pt. FG / 2/7 3pt. FG)
Arkansas 17/7/3 (6/10 / 4/5 3FG)
