Im really curious to know. How you have been on this board for 18 years. Joined at the founding of this board. And all that has happened over the last 18 years. This is your very first post.
Hafley 1000x before Addazio, if it's not going to be Schiano.
That might be the reaction they were hoping for by floating Addazio.
Make us feel relieved to get Hafley or whatever plan b, c or d is still willing to come here.
Agreed, and I thought of that as I posted. I would much rather have a coach with a track record of success as a head coach. Addazio's not that guy.

Addazio is an average recruiter and a poor game day coach. Terrible clock management and other in game decisions have cost BC at least 10 games during his tenure. 6-7 wins has been his ceiling at BC in ACC Atlantic, with a down FSU program and weak Coastal opponents. That would translate to a 4-5 win season in Big Ten East with comparable (ie. easy!) OOC schedule.
This is not quite true. Some coaches may like him, but the HS coaches in NJ were not very complimentary of Adazzio when he was being interviewed by Prunetti.
Passing on him was not just because he would not retain the RU assistant coaching staff. Prunetti knew that any head coach would want to bring in his own guys that he trusts. The kicker was the negative comments about him by some of the higher profile HS coaches.
When was he ever a great recruiter. You will never be great if the HS coaches think that you talk out of both side of your mouth.

Fact remains there are a number of players at BC that RU and Ash wanted but were unable to land.
I am sure that they reached out to some great coaches through back channels in their search. What great coach with options will come here?

Addazio would be a home run hire for us. He’s recruited New Jersey for Notre Dame, Indiana, Florida, Temple and BC. He’s a no nonsense toughguy who is respected by all the HS coaches in this state.
He’s a winner that will bring toughness, accountability, faith and respect back to RU.
I would take him over Schiano tomorrow.

It is obvious that there are BC people who are posting here in their effort to send Adazzio to Rutgers. They cannot wait to get rid of him and are hoping Rutgers is stupid enough to hire him.
